Description
Offset brochure.
Programs
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Objective
Two-sided, folded document. Create an
original, new logo. Incorporate images. One
clipped in Photoshop and text-wrapped in
InDesign. Full bleed.
Process
Created original logo in Illustrator,
coordinating colors with cover image. Edited
images in Photoshop to create text wrap on
brochure inside. Formatted layout to highlight
company images and body copy. Continuation
of theme and color scheme throughout.

Spiritual photo and text montage.
Description
A memorial for a life ended too soon.
Programs
Adobe Photoshop
Objective
Use Photoshop to blend two or more images, filter and
text using masks.
Process
Selection of images that worked well to portray the
message. Editing of photo, to brighten, soften and
warm facial features. Trim to remove aspects of photo
in conflict with overall feel. Filter image in between
background and focal image for effect. Gaussian blur
to soften and ehance text.

Description
Logos that reflect the image Gemma Designs presents
in her unique products.
Programs
Adobe Illustrator
Objective
Create three completely different, original logos to fit
the company that will appeal to their audience.
Process
This logo will be used in packaging, on business cards,
and signage as well as onine. Each item is meant to
translate well in any of those situations. Keeping the
typeface that has been with Gemma for 10 years and
creating a new brand image; one in text, in type, shape
and symbols.

Letterhead for the Idaho Falls Artisan Market.

and small copy. Standard letter size. Include contact
information using type rules.
Process
New logo created using the waterfall on Snake River
in Idaho Falls as inspiration created in Illustrator.
Artistic font reflective of the Artisan Market. Brush
elements helped created the river that continues
across the top of the page and along the bottom.

Photography layout.
Description
An iconic image of the document that provides most
Americans with anxiety yearly, made lighter with an
appropriate quote.
Programs
Adobe Photoshop
Objective
Original photo. Incorporate color scheme, text and
design elements.
Process
The image was staged with a tax form, well used
pencil and eraser bits. Camera set to Macro and
focus in the foreground. The image was edited for
brightness in Photoshop and given a background of
color coodinated elements, and a text block to contain
the quote.

Event ad for prospective vendors of the Idaho Falls
Artisan Market.
Description
Full color image for advertising in a variety of outlets.
Programs
Microsoft Word
Objective
Use Word design features without any Adobe
programs, including Photoshop
Process
Beginning with scanning a photograph, which was
placed into a Word document. Followed by framing
and creating a layout using Word design features
to create color blocks, font layout and alignment.
Each element working with and for the next. Key
information grouping and visual flow were focus.

Flier for Graduate Leadership Conference event.

News flier, black and white.

Objective
Use given logo and images. Create visually appealing
layout. True black and white.
Process
Using the logo and images provided, I created a
flier that would capture attention with placement
of elements and flow of informtion. Font pairing,
alignment, and repetition are a primary focus.
