Scenario
A co-operative bank has managed its business well for 2 years from the time of inception and then
decided to computerize its operations to scale up its business. It has 5000 customers, most of who have
savings bank accounts with this bank.
Its management board has decided to provide Internet operations to the existing Savings Bank customers
and then facilitate the same to new customers if they keep a minimum balance of Rs.1000 in the savings
bank account for minimum 3 months.

Business rules

Minimum balance should be Rs. 1000 for minimum 3 months.

The interest rate of the saving account is 8%.
Banks officer verifies genuineness of the documents provided by the new customer.
Banks officer verifies the genuineness of the existing account holders credentials.
Minimum amount to be deposited at opening is Rs. 500.

This case includes only the application of creating a new savings account and the below interfaces are
expected to be delivered.

SB A/C Opening Form for newly registered customer to apply for savings account.
Credentials verification details for the verification officer to enter verification details
Application approval page for the Savings Account manager to sanction / reject the request for

new savings account.

Account details page for the customer to know the account details.

The hardware platform for deployment has to be minimum

Pentium IV 1.2 GHz

256 MB RAM
40 GB hard disk

Deliverables

Implementation of database design

Implementation of code to cover section scope
Code demonstrating Data dependent, independent and Exception handling as per the Field

descriptions and business rules specified.

The code submitted should have taken care of the common mistakes.
