    COURSE SYLLABUS BAHASA INGGRIS 2014/2015 Total credit : 2 Day/ Time : Wednesday , 13.00-14.40 Room : GPP 407 Descri pti on: This course focuses on English for academic purposes related to nursing science. The content includes reading comprehension, writing, speaking, listening, presentation and TOEFL preparation. It is designed to enhance the students’ ability to understand articles from nursing journals, write an essay and summary of a journal article. In addition, it is set to improve the ability to deliver an opinion and present a result finding in a formal presentation setting. It also involves the activities for preparing students to do well on TOEFL test (paper/ internet based). Expected l earni ng outcome: Upon completion of this course, student will be able to: 1. Demonstrate ability to read an article from nursing journals 2. Recognize and define terminology in nursing 3. Demonstrate ability to write a short passage 4. Demonstrate ability to deliver an opinion and presentation 5. Demonstrate strategies and skills for TOEFL test (paper/ internet based) Eval uati on: 1. TOEFL Test (25 %) 2. Presentation (25%) 3.
