Safety
Always wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (including gloves and goggles that must be worn when
potentially exposed to any hazardous materials and when carrying out hazardous work tasks). Turn the
dispenser off during cleaning and note that parts may be contaminated with product. If possible, flush tubing out
with water prior to carrying out any maintenance. For information on products that are used in this dispenser,
please carefully read the product label and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Cover Removal
Open the QFM by inserting the C shaped steel clip into the front cover then lift cover upward. The cover will
only come away completely from the backplate when it is pulled up by an angle of 45. (Fig 1.1)

Magnetic Valve Replacement
Remove cover.
Unscrew the strainer (21) from the valve assembly. If the strainer mesh sock (22) does not come out, carefully remove it
with fingers or tweezers.
Re-assemble and hand tighten only. Take care not to crush the mesh sock (22) when re-assembling.

Nozzle Cleaning or Replacement
Press the clip on the backplate inwards to release the eductor from the backplate.
Lift the eductor part forwards, taking care to ease the product pick up tube through the slot of the backplate.
NOTE: The tube may need to be squeezed with a pair of flat bladed pincers to make it pass through the slot more
easily.
Twist the eductor to the left to release it from the valve body.
Remove the nozzle from the bottom of the valve assembly by prising gently with a flat bladed screwdriver if necessary.
Use the slots provided to do this.
If the nozzle is scaled then replace it with a new one. The old nozzle can be cleaned with a weak acid solution to remove
any scale. Once cleaned it can be re-used.

Metering Peg Descaling or Replacement
Remove the metering peg by pulling it forwards. Note which position it was in.

Wipe or rinse the metering peg clean to remove any dirt or chemical residue that has dried in the groove.
Rotate the fingers that protrude from the valve assembly in an anti-clockwise direction.
NOTE: The fingers are quite stiff and only rotate about 10

Check operation by re-assembling the wishbone and checking the state of the valve when activated.
