Membership Guidelines
As a member, I understand and agree to the following:
Seeds of Hope Farm, which is operated by Community Action Agency of St. Louis County, Inc., will act
in good faith to provide produce for the duration of the prescribed Co-op term, but there is no guarantee
of quantities or contents of the weekly shares.
I am aware that a printed newsletter will be distributed to me each week as part of my share. The
newsletter will be a source of information about events hosted at the farm, our classes and other
gatherings, and broader gardening opportunities. It will feature nutrition information, recipes and meal
plan ideas for seasonal co-op ingredients. I have the option of reading this information online at the
Seeds of Hope Farms blog (http://seedsofhopefarm.org/) and may opt out of receiving a paper copy by
contacting the farm manager.
I am responsible for picking up my share. The following rules apply for picking up shares
a) Shares will be distributed from the Seeds of Hope farm-site at 1120 Trampe Avenue in
Spanish Lake as well as from CAASTLCs main office in Overland and at CAASTLCs BelRidge site. Shares will be made available each Thursday with the exception that the Biweekly shares will be made available every other Thursday. Signs will be set out on the farm
premises to indicate directions on locating and collecting shares. See Preferred place and
time of pick-up options for specifics on each location.
b) If I am unable to pick up my share, I will arrange for someone else to pick up my share. If
my share is not collected during the prescribed pick-up hours, I understand that CAASTLC
may distribute my share to other customers without a refund to me. Collection of a share on
a day other than the prescribed pick-up day must be arranged with the farm manager.
c) Alternate places or times for pick-up may become available, pending a written agreement
with the farm manager.
d) I will notify the farm manager at 314.566.8643 or ghahn@caastlc.org in advance if I am not
able to pick-up my share.
Farm Management may cancel membership at any time for disagreeable or unruly behavior, including
but not limited to abuse or behavior that farm management views as disruptive to a community
atmosphere. If Farm Management determines it is necessary to terminate a Sponsorship share, a prorated refund will be offered for unclaimed produce until the end of the paid term.
Sponsorship Share
The cost of a sponsorship share is $28.00 every week of the 25-week co-op term.
Sponsorship shares must be pre-paid. Pre-paying for a share means that a subscriber is paying for such share
prior to receiving the share. In order to make pre-payment more manageable, payment can be submitted in
one lump sum payment of $700.00 or in three (3) installments for a total of $700.00. The installments plan is:
1) $250.00 due by May 14, 2015; 2) $250.00 due by July 14, 2015; and 3) $200.00 by August 14, 2015. This
sum may be paid by check or money order and mailed to the CAASTLC address listed at the end of the
agreement.
Shares may also be purchased through PayPal. In order to purchase a sponsorship share online please visit
www.seedsofhopefarm.org and click the visible link to PayPal. Processing charges are included in the
payment options.
Membership is secured on a first paid, first secured basis. The first payment secures membership, and is due
by May 14, 2015.
Any pre-paying subscriber who joins during the progress of the co-op term will pay a pro-rated amount, based
on the remaining weeks, if shares are still available after May 14, 2015.
Pre-paid shares are an investment in the success of the farm and are non-refundable. If a Sponsor decides to
terminate co-op membership, there will be no refund. The Sponsor may assign his or her share to someone
else. The new Sponsor will be required to agree to the Co-op Membership Guidelines by signing a
Membership Agreement.
Sponsorship Bi-weekly Share
Bi-weekly share members pick up a share once every other (alternating) week. An A week and a B week
will be assigned to each Bi-weekly share member. Each member will receive a listing of the A and B week
schedule. The schedule will also be posted on our website at http://seedsofhopefarm.org. Week A will begin
on May 14, 2015 and week B will begin May 21, 2015.
Sponsorship Bi-weekly shares may be paid in one lump sum of $350.00 or in three (3) installments for a total
of $350.00. The installments plan is: 1) $125.00 due by May 14, 2015; 2) $125.00 due by July 14, 2015; and
3) $100.00 by August 14, 2015.
Shares may also be purchased through PayPal for a total of $358.00, which includes processing charges. In
order to purchase a sponsorship share online please visit www.seedsofhopefarm.org and click the visible link
to PayPal.
If a Bi-weekly Sponsor decides to terminate co-op membership, there will be no refund. The Sponsor may
assign his or her share to someone else. The new Sponsor will be required to agree to the Co-op Membership
Guidelines by signing a Membership Agreement.
