Mongolia lineup announced for Freestyle Wrestling World Cup in Los Angeles, Calif., April 11-12
The wrestling federation of Mongolia has provided its lineup for the 2015 Freestyle Wrestling World Cup, which
will be held at the Forum, presented by Chase, April 11-12 in Inglewood, Calif.
The World Cup is the annual international dual meet championships, and will feature the top eight mens freestyle
wrestling teams in the world.
The Mongolian team will be led by 2014 World bronze medalist Nyam-Ochir Enkhsaikhan at 61 kg/134 lbs.
Enkhsaikhan was fifth in the 2013 World Championship and third in the 2007 Asian Championship.
Chuluunbat Jargalsaikhan, who placed seventh in the 2012 Olympic Games, is on the team at 125 kg/275 lbs.
Jargalsaikhan was third in the 2008, 2011 and 2012 Asian Championship, as well as second in the 2010 and 2013
Asian Championship.
2012 Olympian Unurbat Purevjav is expected to compete at 74 kg/163 lbs. Purevjav was third in the 2010 and 2011
Asian Championships, and took second in the 2008 and 2014 Asian Championships.
Batzorig Buyanjav, who placed eighth in the 2012 Olympic Games, is on the roster at 70 kg/154 lbs. Buyanjav
placed third at the 2004 Asian Championship, third in the 2006 Asian Games, second in the 2006 Asian
Championship, and was the 2006 World University champion.
2013 Junior World silver medalist Nomin Batbold is expected to compete at 57 kg/125 lbs. Batbold was third in the
2013 Asian Championship and third in the 2014 Asian Games.
Mongolia placed sixth at the 2014 World Championships, which were held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan
The eight nations which will compete for the World Cup are (alphabetically): This years field includes Azerbaijan,
Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Mongolia, Russia, Turkey and the United States.Nations were invited based upon final team
standings at the 2014 World Championships.
Mongolia has drawn into the Group A, and will face Russia, Cuba and the United States.
All-Session tickets are available, as well as Single-Day tickets. Fans can purchase All-Session tickets for $60 for
General Admission and $85 for Preferred Seating. Single-Day tickets, on either Saturday or Sunday, are $35 for
General Admission and $55 for Preferred Seating. Fees apply for tickets purchased through Ticketmaster at

There will be two sessions of wrestling action each day of the Freestyle World Cup. On Saturday, April 11, there will
be sessions held at 3:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. On Sunday, April 12, the first session is at 11:00 a.m., with the First
Place and Third Place Championship Duals set for 4:15 p.m.
The 2014 Freestyle World Cup were also held in Los Angeles, with Iran winning the team title, Russia placing
second and the United States in third.
