Tamil labourers massacre:

Arrest AP Police officials
The truth about the killing of 20 Tamilians in Seshachalam area of Andhra Pradesh is out
and is shocking. This is not a shooting to safeguard the police but a pre-planned one and
there are enough evidences to prove this.
The killings have happened in Seshachalam forests and in particular at Ethalakund, Sikkatti
Theekalakona areas. The version of Andhra Pradesh police that the red sander cutters were
rounded up and when they threw stones they were shot at in self defence cannot be believed
as there is no red sander trees at all in the area. Only bushes are present in the Ethalakund
area.The police explanation that the smugglers in hiding threw stones at them are all cock
and bull stories. The seized red sanders were all several years old and using the old wood,
the police have staged a drama.Old case numbers have been written on the wood and police
have painted the number shows that it is a drama staged by the Andhra Pradesh police.The
audacity of AP police that the enquiry officials will believe these things shows the involvement
of Andhra Pradesh police and its officials.
During the purported clashes between police and smugglers, there should have been bullet
wounds on the bodies of the victims. But on the bodies of all the 20 killed, there were bullet
wounds only in the heart and forehead. This confirms that they were all arrested earlier and
were killed from a close range.Doubts are raised as the bodies are found with burn injuries
that they were tortured before being killed.
Andhra Pradesh Special Task Forse chief Kantha Rao warned in a letter a few days back
to Tamil Nadu police officials that Tamil labourers if they came to Andhra Pradesh to cut red
sanders, they would be shot dead. Thus it shows that there was a wish to kill the labourers.
The letter could have been written after deciding on the plan to kill the labourers.
The way the bodies of the victims were handled by the police is even more gruesome. Just
like bringing bodies of animals, the victims' bodies were brought after being tied to bamboo
sticks. After a certain distance, the bodies were piled up in a dirty tractor. There is a road from
mainland to one kilometre before the killer spot. It is only through this route mediapersons
were taken to the spot.All these shows the vendetta of Andhra Pradesh police against Tamil
labourers.

As earlier said the labourers who were killed in AP were lured by attractive salaries and the
actual smugglers of red sanders are mafia gangs in AP who export the wood. The gangs are
close to all parties in the state and they are involved in deforestation of the Andhra forests. It
is only to hide this, Tamil labourers have been killed and they are also portrayed as
smugglers.
Now that the facts about the killings are out, Kantha Rao and other police officials should
be arrested and murder & criminal conspiracy cases be filed against them.Since the killings
are pre-planned, it is not fair for the Andhra Pradesh government to probe the case. This
should be probed by a sitting Supreme Court judge.
It is also condemnable the inaction of Tamil Nadu government. Some years back when
Bihar labourers were attacked in Mumbai, the Bihar government made it a national issue.
Now that 20 labourers have been killed, Tamil Nadu government pleads with Andhra Pradesh
for a fair probe. This is a wrong approach. The issue should be taken to the notice of
President, Prime Minister and the victims' kin should get justice.
