Multi-application Tiller
Prepare the soil for seeding or for transferring new plants: To carry out these two operations a very fine soil and
superficial tilling are necessary.
To turn virgin land: A deep till is necessary to turn uncultivated areas into productive soil.
To till in organic material and fertiliser: To mix up manure and organic residue with soil properly.
Break the crust (weed eradication): this operation is carried out to eradicate weeds and to prevent water evaporation
from the lower ground straits.
To ridge and tamp: to prepare the furrows for seeding (potatoes, asparagus etc...), to tamp the new and to protect and
whitewash them.
Preparing the ground for sowing
Till the soil to obtain an even surface and therefore produce perfect conditions for young plants to take root and grow
Cultivation
It is important to clean the soil in between the rows and around the plants during growing season. Soil tilling must be carried
out to remove weeds and to keep the soil vibrant. In this way water and moisture can penetrate the soil; weed growth can be
reduced therefore allowing the crop to grow stronger & produce more yield.
Organic Fertilising
Till and shred the plants left in the soil (tilling depth 10-15 cm), burying them to make compost. Plants will decompose
quickly, providing nutrients to the ground.
In different periods during the year - Furrowing
Furrowing is performed several times during the year to make seed or irrigation furrows.
There are two kinds of furrower: an adjustable and driven furrower and a back-cutter furrower mounted at the rear of the
tiller and working in conjunction with it. In this way, the wheels traction is combined with the propulsion efficiency of the tiller
allowing the machine to work easily, even on hard soil.
Earthing up
Earthing up is usually carried out using the adjustable furrower to earth up the soil. Such furrowers can also be used as a
potato-lifter. This technique is useful blanch vegetables such as radish and other crops.
