A rainbow table usually works with a hash cracking program of some sort. I prefe
r John the Ripper.
PS: password cracking software pretty much only works on Linux platforms, so run
it in a VM. If a website offers a windows password cracker to plug tables into,
its bad shit, Dont download it

xploitation payload that can affect the majority of hard drives.
That fact literally keeps me up at night. Boundary protection is the best way to

My main job is IS Audit functions, then patch management. Everything else is a h

I don't need to be a coder for my job. In fact, my job requires little more than
for me to analyze network configurations as per DOD guidance and give them a sc
ore and areas to improve security. Honestly would like to learn Java or official
hacking or something but that's not my priority.

Our infrastructure is based on electronics. EVERYONE in the first world would si

ll that is causing the problems. Run a system watcher while you do this. Then if
the problem goes great, if it has persistence you can see what other program is

Oh! Sorry I missed your post. Uhm, Security+ is a really easy entry level cert.
I'm gonna go back to what I've been saying, get the Darrell Gibson book or the C
ybex book on Security+. It helps.
And literally EVERY company has heard of Security+. it's a CompTIA cert. Very en
try level but definitely worth it.
