culottes, sporty jackets, jogger pants and skirts in elegant shades of coral, lilac, mint green,
golden sand nude, blush and sea foam blue.

runway, overshadowed only by a stunning mini green drape dress, whose presence on the
runway quickly became the toast of the day.

Trend Alert: Summer Capes Rule The

Runway At Lakme Fashion Week Sr15

If your cape love knows no bound,

wear it long enough to be passed
off as a dress. Fashion designer
Arunima Majhis show at LFW
SR15 featured an eye-catching
mint green cape dress. That would
not only make you look feminine
but also hide a few unfortunate
flaws.

Fashion dips into the Sea and pops back with a lash. Secrets of the Sea a unique and
almost surreal collection by our very own designer Arunima Majhi wowed the Audience at
Jabong Stage during Lakm Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2015.
Utilitarian in shape but uber elegant, the reach was motivated by the ocean and its lovely
animals with an included edge of mermaid-like dream.
A cluster of debauched fabrics like silks, tulle, jacquards, organza, crpe and poplin added
to the charm of the accumulation and gave every outfit a casual yet chic claim. To include a
touch of oomph, work and transparent fabrics attempted to stress every piece.
Palazzo jeans, organized tops, dresses, culottes, lively coats, jogger jeans and skirts
advanceed down the incline in rich shades of coral, lilac, mint green, brilliant sand bare,
redden and ocean froth blue.
Something new that the audience witnessed today through the eyes of Arunima. Simply
WoW!

Another label that hit the sweet spot was
Arunima Majhi and Surbhi Shekhar. To my
mind, this feminine collection embodies
everything that we love about the
summertime, and then takes it up a few
notches. To be honest, I was sold at the
artful use of pastel shades like lavendar
purple, sea green, baby blue and subtle
cream a palette that screams summer like
nothing else. - See more at:

LFW says no thanks to heels: Flat shoes

having a moment at style gala

Fashion shows have always been synonymous

with tall models in high heels, but that trend
seems to be changing this season. Several
designers a number of them who showcased
on Day 3 of Lakm Fashion Week
Summer/Resort 2015 have shunned high
heels for more comfortable footwear.
From pool sliders and slip-ons to sports shoes
and plimsolls, here are various comfortable
styles that are sure to be a hit with all women
who are tired of sky-high heels. Men, theres
good reason for you to return to the basics too.

What makes fashion week as exciting as the first day, the fact that new designers are still
showcasing their idea of fashion in newer ways, capturing our collective attention and
blowing our minds away. What we loved on the third day is the case for simpler silhouettes
fashion has gone on to become a way of life. Everything we saw, everything we experienced
is raw, pure and extremely invigorating. Thats why we put together five of the shows from
the Jabong stage that made up for this seasons biggest fashion choices.
Pastel shades and white such a wonderful summer palette. Arunima Majhi knows just how
simple fashion works her silhouettes are neither dramatic nor subtle instead, they are
flamboyant in the simplest way possible. The colour palette went from lilacs to lime greens,
all paired with pristine white. There were wispy kaftan dresses with asymmetrical hems, boxy
shiny tops, sheer shrugs worn over bralettes and trailing palazzo pants. It had cutout shirts
that really were fun almost with a sportswear vibe attached to them.

ARUNIMA MAJHI
Arunima is a Gen Next designer who debuted at Lakm Fashion Week last season with a
collection where she played with shapes, silhouettes and structure. It was all beautiful; Ive
used every look in my shoots, but there wasnt much in the way of wearability. This time,
shes outdone herself. Her entire collection was in pastels, and she played with mixed fabrics
organza on cotton, that juxtaposition of textures and fabrics, but in a way that was very
cleanly done.
My favourite was a mint green shift dress with an organza panel draped on one side of the
body. Thats the piece that I think is going to be come a red carpet favourite. I also like how
her collection has a sporty theme, but not like how you usually see it in a Spring collection; it
was reinvented sport luxe for Spring.
