Title: CONSITUTION OF THE U OF I TABLETOP RPG ORGANIZATION

Preamble: The U of I Tabletop RPG Organization

Article I
Purpose: Our purpose is to promote tabletop gaming at the University of Iowa and to expand the
imaginations of each member every semester.
Article II
Membership
a) In no aspect of its programs shall there be any difference in the treatment of persons on
the basis of race, national origin, color, creed, religion, sex, age, disability, veteran status,
sexual orientation, gender identity, or associational preference, or any other classification
which would deprive the person of consideration as an individual. The organization will
guarantee that equal opportunity and equal access to membership, programming,
facilities, and benefits shall be open to all persons.
b) A membership in this club means they have an equal right to play in every Dungeon
Master/ Game Masters campaign provided that there is enough open spots for all the
players that want to be involved.
c) There are 3 distinct levels of membership.
a. Administrative: These select few that include the main representative, the
secondary representatives and the two advisors have the ability to audit and edit
the organization.
b. Storyteller: These select few are those authorized by the administrative
organization to run games and to perform the duties needed to run a responsible
and player friendly game. Storytellers are selected by a short interview regarding
their knowledge as both a player and a Dungeon Master i.e. Game Master.
c. Player: This membership is the most common and is for those who wish to
participate in campaigns ran around the University. Anyone may join as a player.
d) Anyone may join as a player. Storytellers are selected by a short interview regarding their
knowledge as both a player and a Dungeon Master i.e. Game Master. A membership can
only be terminated by a majority vote done by the Administrative members.
Article III
Officers and Duties
Administrative duties involve keeping track of the meeting times, meeting places, and Storyteller
of every campaign in the organization. It is the job of the head representative to speak on behalf
of the organization during required times.

Storyteller duties involve keeping track of the sheets for each campaign. They must document
each players name and involvement in their campaign and are responsible for running a player
friendly, exciting, and rule guided campaign.
A player is responsible for showing up on time to each meeting of the campaign. If they are not
going to be able to make it to a session, they are required to tell the storyteller they are involved
with within 48 hours of the game.
Article IV
Advisor:
The Advisor is responsible for making sure that the duties of those with Administrative
membership are complete on time and efficiently.
Article V
Meetings:
a) Each Storyteller will meet with their players at least once a week on a day that works for
the majority of players.
b) Administrative members must inform all other members two weeks prior to a giant
group meeting. Storytellers must inform each of their players one week prior to the
meeting.
c) A campaign can only be held with a minimum of a single Storyteller and a minimum of
3 players.
d) Only Administrative members and Storytellers have the authority to call meetings.
Article VI
Elections
a) Elections will be held at maximum twice a year. An election must occur when an
Administrative member is graduating and must leave office or when a majority wishes
to impeach a current representative.

Article VII
Finances
a) Members are required to purchase their own dice, dice bags, pencils, pens, paper, and any
books they may need to play and will not be reimbursed for lost, stolen, or broken pieces
of equipment.
b) Advisors are responsible for keeping track of all authorizations of money involvement,
disbursement, and is required to document each expenditure on behalf of the
organization.
c) Upon dissolution, state money and mandatory student fees revert back to the granting
organization.

Group fees should be divided as stated in the Constitution and carried out by the
dissolving groups members and officers.
If the group has dissolved and group fees have not been divided as stated in Constitution
by five years from last account activity, monies in the groups 00 account will revert to
an account specified for this

Ratification
Ratification of any vote or amendment is required to have a majority of those present and
voting to be accepted into order.
