QUEST FOR 4000 (Courtesy of the Rainers): The Rainiers are 15 victories shy of 4,000 all-time franchise wins. Since 1960, Tacoma has put
together a record of 3985-3960 (.502). The Rainiers record as an affiliate of the Seattle Mariners is 1462-1404 (.510).
COACHING STAFF: Pat Listach is in his first season as the Rainiers manager and is the 30th manager in Tacoma history. Listach served as
the manager PCL Iowa Cubs in 2002 and 2008, when he was named PCL Manager of the Year. He led those teams to a combined 110-87
(.558) record. He has also manged two seasons in the Southern League with West Tennessee, going 148-130 (.532). Listach spent the 2014
season as the third base coach for the Houston Astros. He has over 20 years of experience in professional baseball as a player, Major League
and minor league coach, and minor league manager and coordinator. Prior to last season, Listach was the Los Angeles Dodgers minor league
infield coordinator in 2013 and coached on the Major League staffs for the Chicago Cubs (2011-12) and Washington Nationals (2009-10) for
two years apiece. Originally drafted by the Mariners in 1987 out of McLennan College, Listach began his 11-year professional career with the
Brewers after they drafted him in the fifth round of the 1988 draft. Listach was named American League Rookie of the Year in 1992 after hitting
.290/.352/.349 (168x579) with 47 RBI. Pitching coach Jaime Navarro, who is in his 7th season with the Mariners organization and hitting Cory
Snyder, who is in his 5th season with the organization, are each in their second season with the Rainiers. Tom Newberg and Tyler Moos are
part of the training staff, while Will Lindholm is the teams performance coach.

runs (1 ER) on 3 hits in 4.2 innings. LH Kyle Hunter (1.1,2,0,0,1,1) allowed 1 of 2 inherited runner to score, but was not charged with a run in

OF NOTE: INF Jordy Lara has hit safely in each of the first 3 games he has appeared, batting .364 (4x11) with 1 run scored, 1 triple and 1
walk. Jacksons Opening Day roster features 17 players who played for the Generals in 2014, including Matt Anderson (RHP), Steven Baron
(C), Patrick Brady (IF/OF), James Gillheeney (LHP), Moises Hernandez (RHP), Kyle Hunter (LHP), Stephen Landazuri (RHP), Jordy
Lara (INF/OF), Trevor Miller (RHP), Julio Morban (OF), Dan Paolini (INF), D.J. Peterson (INF), Tyler Pike (LHP), Dario Pizzano (OF),
Jordan Shipers (LHP), Tyler Smith (INF) and Carlton Tanabe (C). Paolini and Peterson each led the Generals last season with 13 home
runs, while Paolini finished second on the team with 65 RBI after appearing in a team-high 116 games.
COACHING STAFF: James Horner is in his second season as manager of the Mariners affiliate in the Southern League, the Jackson
Generals. Horner is in his 9th season with the Mariners (2005-10, 2013-current), but third as manager since returning to the organization in
2013. Pitching coach Lance Painter and hitting coach Roy Howell round out the staff in Jackson. Painter enters his 10th season with the
Mariners, including his fifth with Jackson (2010-12, 2013-current). Howell returns to the Generals after managing the Tacoma Rainiers in 2014.
He guided the Rainiers to 74 wins in his first season leading the field staff, which was tied for the 9th-most victories collected by a manager in
his first full season at Tacoma. The rest of his staff include athletic trainer BJ Downie and performance coach Derek Mendoza.

Marlette (1x4) and SS Luis Caballero (1x2, BB) each recorded 1 of the teams 3 hits. RF Tyler ONeill (0x3, RBI, SF) drove in Bakersfields
only run with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first innint to give the Blaze an early 1-0 lead. Starter Dan Altivilla (5.2,4,2,2,2,8,WP) recorded
the loss, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits with 8 strikouts in 5.2 innings. RH Brett Ash (2.1,4,2,2,1,1,2HR) allowed 2 solo home run over 2.1 innings,
while RH Rafael Pineda (1.0,0,0,0,0,1) struck out 1 in a 1-2-3 9th inning.
OF NOTE: Dating back to Aug. 14, 2014, Trey Cochran-Gill has tossed 14.0 scoreless innings. During this 8 game streak, Cochran-Gill is 2-0
with 4 saves, 8 allowed hits, 4 walks and 16 strikeouts.
COACHING STAFF: Manager Eddie Menchaca, who managed the High Desert Mavericks last season returns for his second season leading
the Mariners California League affiliate. He enters his seventh season in the Mariners organization, including five as manager. Menchaca has
led his squad to the postseason in four of the last five seasons. Pitching coach Andrew Lorraine and hitting coach Max Venable each return
to Menchacas staff for the second consecutive season. Lorraine is in his sixth season as a pitching coach in the Mariners minor league
system, while Venable returns for his second season as hitting coach. Geoff Swanson, who served as the Clinton LumberKings trainer in
2014 is in his first season with Bakersfield and first-year performance coach Aaron Reis round out the Blaze staff.

RECAP: The LumberKings swept a doubleheader vs. Beloit on Saturday winning the first game 2-1 and capping off game 2 with a 5-4 victory.
In game 1, PR Nelson Ward (R, SB) scored the winning run in the bottom of the 9th inning on a throwing error by the catcher when stealing
third base to walk off with a 2-1 victory. CF Chantz Mack (1x2, R, 2 BB), RF Alex Jackson (1x4, R, 2B, RBI), DH Wayne Taylor (1x4, 2 RBI),
1B Kristian Brito (1x4, 2B), C Adam Martin (1x4, R, HR, RBI) and 2B Martin Peguero (1x3) each recorded 1 of the teams 6 hits. Martin hit
his first home run of the season with a solo blast with 1 out in the 7th inning. Starter Tyler Herb (5.1,8,4,4,3,3) allowed 4 runs on 8 hits in 5.1
innings, but did not figure into the decision. RH Peter Miller (3.0,1,0,0,1,2) allowed only 1 hit in 3.0 scoreless innings in relief, while RH Ryan
Horstman (0.2,0,0,0,0,1) earned his first career win recording after the final 2 outs in the 9th inning. In game 2, RF Estarlyn Morales (1x3,
RBI) recorded an RBI single with 1 out in the bottom of the 5th inning to tie the game 1-1, while C Wayne Taylor (2x3, RBI, BB) hit a walkoff
single scoring 2B Nelson Ward (0x1, R, 3 BB) as Clinton defeat Beloit 2-1. Taylor, LF Chantz Mack (2x3, R, BB) and SS Chris Mariscal
(2x3, BB) each recorded 2 of the LumberKings 9 hits. Starter Osmel Morales (3.2,3,1,1,1,4,HR) allowed 1 run on 3 hits and struck out 4
innings in 3.2 innings, but did not factor into the decision. LH Jarrett Brown (3.1,1,0,0,0,3) allowed 1 hit and struck out 3 in 3.1 innings to earn
his first win of the season.
OF NOTE: C Wayne Taylor has recorded 3 hits in his first 7 at-bats with 3 RBI and 1 walk. Dating back to Aug. 13, 2014, RH Peter Miller has
not allowed a run over his last 10.0 innings (8 G). During this stretch, he has limited opponents to a .156 average (5x32) with 5 walks and 11
strikeouts.
COACHING STAFF: The Mariners Midwest League affiliate, the Clinton LumberKings, is managed by Scott Steinmann, who returns for his
second consecutive season with the team. His staff includes returning pitching coach Cibney Bello, who is entering his third season with the
