Seven Days of Prayer:

Visiting Orphans Mission Trip to Haiti

Before the earthquake on January 12, Haiti was already the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. In a
country of 10 million people, 80% of the population of Haiti lived below the poverty line. It has been estimated that
170,000 people are dead, 250,000 people are injured, 1.5 million people are homeless and thousands of children are
now orphaned from the earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The magnitude of this loss in any country would be
overwhelming; for Haiti the earthquake will be crippling. The people of Haiti need help and they need hope.

We are traveling to Ouanaminthe, Haiti with a team of ten from Visiting Orphans to minister to 200 displaced
orphans from Port-au-Prince at the Danita’s Children orphanage. Over the next week, please use this prayer guide
to pray for our team, those at the orphanage, and the many others affected by the earthquake. Please pray that
throughout Haiti, while physical and emotional needs are being met, that Jesus Christ will be exalted and the gospel
will be proclaimed! Thank you for your faithfulness to pray. Psalm 57:9 - I will praise You, O Lord, among the
peoples; I will sing to You among the nations.
