Jefferson Parish Department of Purchasing is soliciting Request for Proposals
(RFPS) from qualified firms to provide a Comprehensive Cost Benefit Analysis
of Equipment and Services for the Jefferson Parish Department of Fleet
Management.
SEEKING PROPOSALS FROM QUALIFIED FIRMS WITH NATIONAL
RECOGNITION AND A PROVEN RECORD TO COMPLETE COSTBENEFIT ANALYSIS TO DETERMINE HOW TO MAXIMIZE OPERATION
EFFECIENCIES AND MINIMIZE RESULTING FLEET OPERATION
COSTS THROUGH ADVANTAGEOUS EQUIPMENT LEASE/RENTAL
PROGRAMS, OUTSOURCED MAINTENANCE, AND DETERMINATION
OF EQUIPMENT NEEDS FOR EACH DEPARTMENT, WITH AN
ASSOCIATED STAGED PLAN OF IMPLEMENTATION.
All proposals will be evaluated on criteria such as vendors technical proposal,
qualifications and experience, financial profile and proposal responsiveness and
other criteria more specifically defined in the RFP document. The maximum

GLISSON PARK BOAT LAUNCH DOCK REPLACEMENT
The work of this contract comprises of removing and replacing the 40 long
timber courtesy docks on each side of the boat launch at Glisson Park.
All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with the
Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department, Suite 4400, Jefferson Parish General
Government Building, at 200 Derbigny Street, Gretna, Louisiana. All bidders
must show the Bid Proposal Number on the outside of their bid envelope and on
the bid proposal. Late bids will not be accepted.
Each Bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond
acceptable to the owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total
amount bid, and payable without condition to the owner. If submitting a bid
online, vendors must submit an electronic bid bond through the respective
online clearinghouse bond management system(s) as indicated in the electronic

The drawings and specifications are on file and open for inspection in the

first set of documents furnished bona fide prime bidders will be fully refunded

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond
guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. Companies providing the
bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219
as applicable.

SEWER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. D2529
Construction of a new sewer lift station that includes rehabilitation of the
existing wet well and abandoning of the existing valve pit. The new station will
include a wet well and valve pit, pumps, piping, valves, and controls. Fencing
and a new concrete drive to the station shall be constructed.
All bids must be in accordance with the contract documents on file with the
Jefferson Parish Purchasing Department, Suite 4400, Jefferson Parish General
Government Building, at 200 Derbigny Street, Gretna, Louisiana. All bidders
must show the Bid Proposal Number on the outside of their bid envelope and on
the bid proposal. Late bids will not be accepted.
Each Bid must be accompanied by certified check, cashiers check, or bid bond
acceptable to the owner in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total
amount bid, and payable without condition to the owner. If submitting a bid
online, vendors must submit an electronic bid bond through the respective
online clearinghouse bond management system(s) as indicated in the electronic
bid Solicitation on Central Auction House. No scanned paper copies of any bid

The drawings and specifications are on file and open for inspection in the

$125.00 per set. Deposit on the first set of documents furnished bona fide prime

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond
guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. Companies providing the
bonds shall comply with the requirements of LRS-R.S. 38:2218 and R.S. 38:2219
as applicable.

The Jefferson Parish Personnel Department is seeking to fill the following
positions within the classified service of Jefferson Parish.
Environmental Quality Technician II ($26,857/per year) Requires current
employment and permanent civil service status in the class of Environmental
Quality Technician I. OR Possession of at least a Bachelors degree from an
accredited college or university, with at least thirty (30) accredited, semester
credit hours in one, or in any combination of, the following fields: Chemistry,
Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering,
Urban Planning, Geology, Geography, or a closely related field; plus, satisfactory,
environmental-related experience, indicating the ability to perform the work
described above. Proof of education is required in the form of a transcript and

Planner II ($39,893/per year) Applicant must meet one (1) of the following
minimum qualifications: 1. A Masters degree in Urban, Regional or
Community Planning from an accredited college or university. 2. A Bachelors

university; plus, two (2) years of satisfactory, paid, professional work experience
performing architecture and landscape work that involves urban design, urban
planning regulatory requirements, programming and permitting for land
development, or short and long-term planning of land use or urban design. 3.
Other accredited degree at the Bachelors level or higher, plus, two (2) years of
satisfactory, paid, professional work experience in a public planning department
or as a professional consultant including work for governmental agencies in
such planning fields as land-use and development regulation for zoning and
sub-division, transportation, economic development, comprehensive and policy

OFFICIAL NOTICE
A regular meeting of the Jefferson Parish Personnel Board will be held on
Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 2:00 P.M., in Room 204, Joseph S. Yenni Bldg., 1221
Elmwood Park Blvd., Jefferson, Louisiana. Prior to the regular business agenda,
the Personnel Board will conduct a Public Hearing to consider proposals to
amend the Pay Plan for the Classified Service to: amend the pay grade assignment
for the class of Public Works Administrative Operations Coordinator; and to
amend the class title of Librarian I to Librarian I/Senior Associate. Interested
parties may obtain information from the Personnel Department, and may attend
the meeting.
