Duties and Responsibilities


Provide quality emergency medical care service.

Job Requirements
Have a Bachelors degree in MBchB from a recognized University
Must be registered with KMP &DB and have worked for a minimum of one(1) year postinternship
Have a valid practicing and retention license certificate in the Register of Doctors, 2015
Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya, 2010
Demonstrate a good understanding of the County Governments mandate, health policies,
vision, mission, as well as Vision 2030.

Demonstrate understanding of and commitment to the national values and principles of


Public Service and Governance as espoused in the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
Computer Application Skills
UGC/CPSB/DO/2: DENTAL OFFICER (DENTIST) JG: L/M/N - One (1) Post
Duties and Responsibilities
Initial management, stabilization and treatment of all dental patients.
Admitting and discharging dental patients from Accident & Emergency.
Undertaking hospital ward procedures as necessary.
Supervising the Dental Technologists and assigned support staff.
Ensuring that the dental clinic is adequately stocked with surgical and consumable items.
Referring patients to appropriate specialists.
Participating in clinical research.
Facilitating CMEs.
Evaluate the current health and condition of patients teeth to determine diagnosis of
dental condition, if any
Consider treatment methods and explain the options with the patient to determine
which works best for them based on their situation

teeth and make models and measurements for dentures to replace missing teeth
Perform corrective surgery on gums and supporting bones to treat gum diseases

of dental care
Support community good oral health practices

Job Requirements:
Have Bachelors degree in Dental Surgery from a university recognized in Kenya;
Must be registered with KMP&DB and have worked for a minimum of one year postinternship
