Here, we present the distribution of marks among various topics within the subject. The
following pie-charts will help you to understand the relative importance of the various
subject areas in this years IIT-JEE.
Also, we are presenting an overall EMD (Easy, Medium and Difficult) analysis. The
definitions of EMD are given below. You will find that even if you were not able to solve
some of the Difficult questions, it would still leave you enough scope to obtain a net
score to get a very good All India Rank.
Easy: Easy questions are defined as those questions that can be answered by a student
who knows the concept under question. It is a direct application of the concept. A
student is expected to have attempted all the Easy category questions.
Medium: Medium difficulty questions are those questions that may involve more than one
concept. A well-prepared student should be able to identify at least 75% of these and
solve them correctly.
Difficult: Difficult questions are those which will definitely involve multiple concepts and
are tricky. The students may be led to think away from the ideal method of problem
solving. It will require good effort even from the well prepared student to identify the
Difficult ones and categorise them accordingly.
