This document describes the 14.4 kbit/s circuit switched data feature.

3 Technical Description
To support this feature, the MSC must support the data service of 14.4 kbit/s on a single timeslot.
At the BSC, select NT14_5K and T14_4K in the Data Service Allowed parameter to support 14.5 kbit/s
non-transparent data services and 14.4 kbit/s transparent data services.
When an MS initiates a CSD service at a rate of 14.4 kbit/s, the MSC informs the BSC of the service in
the assignment message. The BSC then assigns a TCHF to the MS for the call.
