INTRODUCTION
Fault Insertion Program 3.0:
The ATech Fault Insertion Program allows the instructor to insert faults into 19 trainers simultaneously
from a single computer. Trainers can be connected to a communications port (COM 1/COM 2) on a
computer or to a serial hub* on a network. To insert faults into more than two trainers you will need a
serial hub that can be obtained through ATech. Below is a list of trainers that will work with this
program.
* A serial hub is a device that creates virtual communications ports on a local area network. For
instance, a typical computer has one communications port (COM). With a 16 port serial hub you can
create an additional 16 COM ports on a single computer. The serial hub allows for a total of 17 COM
ports.
