J&P Coats Royale Fashion Size 3 crochet thread, 150 yards/ball (8 balls Warm
Rose, 1 ball Natural)
2.75mm hook
Row 1: Ch 42
Row 2: sk 1st ch from hook, sc 40, ch 1, turn.
Row 3: 2 sc in ea st across, ch 1, turn.
Row 4: sc in ea st across, ch 1, turn
Row 5-7: dc in ea st across, ch 2, turn.
Row 8: dc in 5 st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next 4 st*, repeat from * 13 times, dc in last 5 st,
ch 2, turn.
Row 9: dc in 5 st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next 4 st*, repeat from * 16 times, dc in last 4 st,
ch 2, turn.
Row 10: dc in ea st across, ch 2, turn.
Row 11: dc in 17 st, ch 12, skip 21 st, dc in next 30 st, ch 12, skip 21 st, dc in next 22

26: dc in ea st across, leave last 5 sts empty, join to beginning of row with slip st, ch 2,
do not turn.
Note: You will now be working in rounds.
Rnd 1-2: dc in ea st around, join to beg with ch st, ch 2, do not turn.
Rnd 3: (crochet in back loops only) dc in ea st around, join to beg with slip st, ch 2.
Rnd 4: (crochet in both loops) dc in 1 st, *2 dc in same st, dc in next 5 sts*, repeat from
* around 24 times, join to beg with slip s, ch 2.

Repeat rounds 23-25 to create ruffle on each of the rows that were crocheted in the
back loops only.

To finish the neckline and armholes just sc in ea st around and fasten off.
Sew Velcro onto the back where 5 sts overlap.
