Our parish priest Rev. fr. June Elardo, Jr.

respected municipal mayor, Hon

Rolando B. evardone, the very dynamic principal of ANHS, Sir Adam V. Afable,
Hon. Linda Mejica, our municipal vice mayor, members of the sanguniang
bayan, our dear teachers, fellow alumni, guests, ladies & gentlemen good
afternoon.

Like many of you who are here, Im simply glad being around tonight. It feels
like after a long, long while, were home once more. For indeed, no matter how
long ago we have left, or how far the distance we have travelled in our lifes
journey, or what we have now become, from that one moment when we parted
with the school we loved, we have always come together, like homing pigeons, to
a place we call home. Perhaps this is what an author meant when he said that
homecoming means coming home to what is in your heart.

Homecomings are occasions not just to reminisce, but to reconnect and reestablish the past with the present. Homecomings have unique emotional pull
because they enable memory to seize the present. And memory, to borrow a
quote, is a way of holding onto the things you love, the things you are, and the
things you never want to lose.

At times, I actually ponder, what is it that keeps us coming back time and
again to this gathering? And I find answer from the words of this poem, which I
quote:

Sometimes we understand why we are here together

Sometimes we dont
Sometimes we will talk about our being in this place together
Sometimes we cant

But we keep showing up here on a regular basis

Because there is more of something here than any place for us.
And that something is essential to our well being
That something is community - common concerns, common needs,
common principles - these bind us together as an extended family
And the tie which binds must be celebrated from time to time or on an
occasion when those who trust and care for one another share their
thoughts and hearts together.

Our homecoming today with its theme: Kirigparok: kirigta, pangumusta,

katitirok. calls us to reflect on our shared values and ideals that bind us
together as members of one community of alumni rooted in the legacy of our
alma mater.

As a member of the sponsoring batch of this years alumni homecoming id like

to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all of you for your active
participation, what you have shown makes us feel very elated because it makes
this affair very successful, our efforts in preparing for this activity are all paid
off, sulit lahat ng pagodsiring pa man..thank you so much.

We would like also to acknowledge our sponsors, Hon mayor Rolando evardone,
hon. Roland Boie evardone and hon. Natalio orsal
