Topic: Learning Environment;


Objectives: preparing the mood-board about ideal learning environment;
Description:
From the 11th to the 16th of March, 2014, we celebrated a Comenius meeting in our
school, IES Pablo Neruda in Castilleja de la Cuesta, as scheduled in the Euroschool united education in diversity, Comenius Project 2013-2015, http: //
www.skola.sundsvall.se/euroschool/.
Six Polish, five Swedish, and six German students, along with their teachers, stayed with
us for the week, with the foreign students being hosted by some of our pupils and their
families, as happens when our students travel to other centres too. The visitors were
from Sundsvalls Skola kommun of Sweden, Gymnazium Jana Pawla II de Sobkow, Poland
and Dominikus-Zimmermann-Realschule de Gnzburg, Germany.
We had a small speech
by our headmaster.

We worked on Learning Environments of education: circumstances where the process of


educational learning takes place, aspects and features that can result directly and
indirectly from it, and can condition and or determine the way it is developped, and
how we can improve the efficiency of this process.
During three mornings,
different groups form each
school designed mood boards
to explain the conditions and
facilities present in their
schools, how they learn, the
way their teachers teach and
how they feel they are taught.

We also discussed several possibilities for improvement. At the end a common


moodboard was produced to show the aspects found to be better learning and teaching
practices.

All the activities were prepared, planned and developed in English, and this language was
also used for all the communication.

The project certainly improved the communicative competency of students and teachers
in English.

Students and families enjoyed the stay very much, and found that sharing this time
together was an unforgettable experience for all of them, as they expressed to us.
We had our farewell party and enjoyed plent of Spanish typical foods and joy.

On the final day of the meeting we visited the Cathedral of Seville, the Mosque of
Cordoba.

We want to be grateful to all for the attitude, disposition and commitment showed.
It has been a pleasure for us to work with you all and you have made this Project Meeting
real.
