This article talk's about the neglect of medical use in the Guantanamo Bay prison. The
medical affidavits found 9 cases of high allegations of torture and ill treatment.
Many of the prisoners have severe depression and PTSD. These results of torture
show evidence intentional harm.

charity, but ended up getting caught by U.S military and sent to Guantanamo bay.

Three detainees were found dead in their cells, and were accused of suicide. Heckman
works at Guantanamo bay, and he wants to investigate the situation of Talal al-Zahrani of
Yemen, and Salah Ahmed al-Salami and Mani Shaman al-Utaybi, both of Saudi Arabia.
Heckman thinks the guards in Guantanamo bay privately killed the detainees rather than the
detainees committing suicide in their cells. Heckman wants to make his case strong and
take the situation at the court.

Doctors made an oath not to harm the detainees. The CIA wanted doctors that are
acceptable with using torture techniques on detainees. The problem occurs when the
doctors dont use the medical ethics when dealing with the detainees.

of Saddam Hussein. The jail is used for criminals too who have nothing to do with
terrorism. The torture methods used in cell block 1A and 1B in Abu Ghraib prison was so
brutal that George Bush wanted the jail to be destroyed.

witnessed as a detainee.

Canadian officials during Feruary 2003. The interview shows Omar Khadr displaying his
wounds during the firefight and wants medical care which the Canadian officals ignore.
Omar keeps weeping and does not talk much except he keeps repeating that he wants help.

were in the prison, and what rights were given to them. Obama signed an executive order to
close the detention facilities within one year, but the facilities are still open. The U.S

arguments based on a specific subject like the Geneva Conventions. One might say the
Geneva Convention applies to GITMO prisoners while others say the Geneva Convention
doesnt apply to GITMO prisoners because they are not in U.S soil. Another subject that

will be argued is humanness of the torture. There are a lot of subjects that have been
argued about GITMO prisoners in the site.

documentaries, and gave background information of prisoners. Most of them experienced

the situation in Guantanamo Bay prison and dealt with the situation ,so they are very
credible.
