What did you plan to do this quimester?
- This Quimestrer I planned on going to the Gym and Ju Jutsu in order to be
fulfilled in my active life. I also planned on going to the Junior Branch and
to CISV trainings on Saturdays, which will have contributed, towards my
community service and my creativity. I was also involved in the schools
CAS program which helped to fuel my community service and awareness.
And finally I did a major community service activity called Agasajo
Navideo and went to the Andinos Camp as part of the Junior Branch.
What did you do?
- I managed to complete and achieve all of the activities which are listed
abouve and did them to the best of my ability.
What do you think about the activities you completed this quimester?
- I think that all of the activities helped be to be the person which I am
today, they each had something which contributed to my well being
weather this be physical or emotional. They all helped to make me a better
individual. I especially liked the community service activities because they
made me more aware of my community and the needs of my community.
They helped me to look at ongoing problems with my country and with my
community with a different perspective.

What feelings arose during the activities completed this quimester?

I think that during the activities, which involved me helping out other
people such as in the Agasajo Navideo, I realized the true reality of
poverty in my country and sought out to help them because they do not
have the same situation as most us have. The feeling of anguish arouse on
me as I saw families of up to 9 kids coming to the place just to have a
good time and to helped out in one way or another by us and the extremeresponse team, I felt really good helping them out in any way that I could.
During the Junior Branch meetings I felt that I was having a positive impact
by contributing in any way in which I could and also by presenting the
people there with my ideas, which in my personal opinion were really
helpful. In the gym I released all of my stress it is one time were I could
leave my mind in blank and really focus on myself and my personal well
being I felt that the gym truly helped me to get a routine and to be more
persistent in what I wanted to achieve. As for Ju Jutsu it really helped to
calm myself down and in the floor while we were fighting I also released all
of my stress and emotions, which were caught up inside me. As for my
involvement in the CAS group in the school I felt like me and my
classmates were taking up the roles of leaders because were in charge of
managing the people of the CAS group and the younger years. Besides this
I felt like we were truly having a positive impact on the community itself
because we were going out there and planting plants which were going to
have a good impact on the soil and they are native plants which also help
the ecosystem by providing nutrients for the soil no only sucking up all of
the soils nutrients.
What were the outcomes of the activities you completed, for yourself?
In the junior Branch we managed to plan out some activities and
fundraisers for the CISV Ecuador and also managed to raise funds for the
JB. The Andinos Camp, which works in conjunction with the Junior Branch,
also helped because out of the Camp we managed to come out with
regional projects, which will have a positive impact on our communities
and on the CISV organization of Peru, Ecuador and Colombia. Besides this
in the CISV trainings we managed to organize the little kids and prepare
them for their individual camps, which they will be going to in the summer.
As for my CAS group in school we managed to plant the plants in a sector
in Ilalo a mountain that lays in Cumbaya in a sector in which there was a
scares population of these endemic species of plants known as el penco.
We also managed to build a germinator for these plants in the school so
that future students could carry on with this project and continue to carry
out the legacy, which we have started in the school. I also think that we
managed to make people more environmentally aware because for many
of the resources which we used when we were carrying out our projects we
used water bottles which had previously been used and also used milk
bags so I am pretty proud of that which we managed to accomplish in the
school. In the Gym I was able to excerpt all of my built up energy as in Ju
Jutsu, in both of these activities in which I took part in I used physical

energy which helped me to relieve myself of stress and also forced me

onto a routine which I think really helped to build up my character and my
will. I think that both of these activities made me more constant about
starting something and finishing it, something, which I personally was not,
used to and this was a major positive outcome for me.
What were the outcomes of the activities you completed, for others?
- In the JB we managed to create a sense of belonging and CISV awareness
through the many activities, which we had in the year, we also managed
to raise funds for the CISV and the Junior Branch Ecuador, which is a major
accomplishment. I think that the Agasajo Navideo had a major impact in
our community since it was a way in which we as individuals helped to
bring happiness to those in need; we managed to create a day in which
the people in need of our country felt loved and cared for. It was a major
success and I think that they left with a really positive experience in their
minds and also really good memories. As for the Andinos Camp we showed
the other countries how the Ecuadorian participants and active members
of the Ecuador Junior Branch have been working and how our CISV
awareness is, we also managed to demonstrate how we are willing to
cooperate with one another in order to carry out these regional projects
with no problem whatsoever. In the Gym I think that I managed to help
people out during their workouts with advice and council, I also started to
train with one of my classmates and I think that the workout routines
which I have told him to carry out have really impacted on the results
which, Alejandro my classmate, is getting. Besides this I have also
managed to council many of my gym partners on nutrition and what sort
of supplements should they bee getting. This is because I have been
taking supplements for a while and have done extensive research on the
matter and know that I personally have experience form it I can pass on
my knowledge to my fellow Gym partners. In Ju Jutsu I have served as the
Uke for many of my training partners and have managed to clarify how to
correctly for a technique or a certain choke so I think that in this sport both
sides benefit form having training partners, or as the technical name calls
them, Uke. In my CAS group in my school I think that the impact that we
have left in the community is great since we managed to create an
environmentally conscious community in school and also we have shown
people form around the school that we are willing to help in any way that
we can with the community, the other results which I personally think that
other people got was the fact that younger students know have an idea of
how to lead a CAS group and they can now continue with this idea next
year since we have now shown them how to carry it out correctly.
Was there value for the school or the wider/ global community from any
activities? Explain.
- In many of the activities, which I carried out there was, sin fact value for
the school and also the wider global community. A clear example would be
my CAS group in the school; we had a major positive impact in the school

as well as in the community. This is because we as individuals managed to

create an environmental conscience in the school by recycling and using
up used materials to make the germinator and the plant bags. As for the Jb
and the CISV trainings we did many things in which we addressed
problems involving our global community, such as problem resolution,
which was the theme for the current Andinos camp, which took, place. In
the Agasajo Navideo also had an impact in the global community since it
addressed the poverty in the county and how we should help the people in
need.
