Introduction to Modules

Project Description:
EWebsite for Placement Consultant Portal mainly deals with the
online job employment search for the people who are eagerly waiting
for their careers build.
This is an jobs site.
There are three main modules in this system, they are
1.Job Seeker.
These are the people who are seeking for the jobs ,
t h e s e m a y b e e x p e r i e n c e d o r f r e s h e r. T h e f e a t u r e s g i v e n b y
our portal to access to the
users are ,
A. Job search
Here the job seeker can search for the concern job
d e p e n d i n g u p o n t h e q u e r y o r c o n d i t i o n g i v e n b y t h e u s e r.
Our system will give all the results matched by the criteria of
the user and displays them in grid form. These information
comes from the ads that were submitted by the software
firms or companies.
B. New Registration
Here the users can register his/her profile into the database . The job
seekers always have a used choice of adding or deleting or updating the job
profiles.

C. Profile Status
Here the user can view the status of the profile ,i.e

can know the

number of users seen our profile ,


2.Job Provider
These are the organizations or companies which provide
information of the vacancies available in their firm and the
conditions or the required profile they need. they can even
have the job search to find suitable profile for them.
3. Administrator
The maintenance part of the portal is taken care by
admin who maintains the master details , here kiosk
master ,Education master details, individual details,
organization details and also to register the ads of the
organization which they want to display on our portal.

where in this world.
2. The portal users can have flexibility in accessing the Job
portal available is a very free flow manner irrespective of the
availability of the customers.
3. The portal can make it-self projected as an advertising media,
with lasses art and realizes maximum number of people at a
time.
4. The job seekers always have a used choice of adding or
deleting or updating the job profiles.
5. The Job seeker can see his/her status regularly now and then
to which the profile has been viewed by the employer.
6. The constructional standard of selection through choices is
possible, and is at the tips of the Job seeker.

Existing System:
The present status of the system involves mainly the following:

Collect the resumes from the candidates.

Search manually for suitable candidates who satisfy the companies' requirements.

Person Short listed information

Maintain the candidates' status information.

Problem Specification
Problems with the existing system:

The problems with the present manual system are the same as encountered in any
manual file processing system. Some of the problems are listed below.
TIME DELAY:
In the existing system information related to all candidates is stored in different
registers. It takes a lot of time to store, maintain and update this information. The manual
searching takes a lot of time as it involves going through many registers that contain the
candidate details. The existing system requires a lot of paper movement and paperisation.
REDUNDANCY:
All the details about the candidates involve his/her qualifications, extra skills
he/she has and all the other details. The candidates are enlisted according to their

qualification and also according to the skills they posses, which involves lot of
duplication in work, since the same candidate information is stored in different registers.
ACCURACY PROBLEMS:
Since the data is stored and retrieved manually there is always the scope for error
increases. Data validation also becomes very hard. This may result in the loss of data
consistency.
DIFFICULTY IN REPORT GENERATION:
Various reports regarding the candidates are prepared manually. Hence they are
not much attractive and preparing them is very time consuming as it again involves going
through various registers.

Proposed System
The proposed system automates the whole process of storing and retrieving the
resumes that various candidates submit to the organization. This proposed system has all
the benefits that any computerized system will have. Some of the advantages are:

Larger volumes of data can be easily stored and retrieved.

Physical storage space can be avoided.

Data security is easily provided.

Maintaining the data integrity is also quite simple and data is consistent.

Designing various forms and reports has also become very easy using the computers.
To sum it all up with the advent of computer technology communicating with the

data has become very easy and efficient. Hence, the need for the computerization of the
manual job management procedure has become almost unavoidable.
Here the portal mainly concentrates on to the users who stay at remote places and they
dont have the internet to to access the job sites. Here the kiosk will help them in getting
the information. First the portal authorized person has to get registered in our portal
through the admin.
