Course Requirements:

Actual hands-on experience on farm work


Field practice manuscript (Soft and Hard copies); soft copy of plates/
pictures
Documentary CD on selected field (Eg., swine production)
Comprehensive Exam (at the end of the Field Practice)
MOU with the farm
Copy of Training Certificates issued by the farm
Group Reporting
Scrub suit (dark/light green color)
Medical Certificate (issued by the University Physician)- include
pregnancy test for females
Parents waiver
Biodata of students

Field Practice Guidelines:


1. Selection of station. Groups shall be responsible in finding prospect
stations. The stations should be evaluated and approved by the
coordinators.
2. Policy on absences. A 1:3 policy regarding absences at stations shall
be implemented. Make up duties shall be rendered at the CLSU
Parks and Wildlife Center. Students who are absent during official
orientation shall receive penalties of 1:3. Absent during final

meeting/deployment is equivalent to 1 week penalty. Absent during


visitation by coordinator is equivalent to 1 week penalty. Violation of
farm rules is equivalent to 3 days penalty per rule being violated.
Wearing of uniform. In case the station will not provide a uniform,
the students are required to wear scrub suits at official work hours
during their stay at the stations.
Students are expected to observe proper attire, decorum and
behavior during the period of field practice.
Students who are romantically-involved with each other shall not be
grouped together.

Station Criteria:
Any livestock farm within Region III and Pangasinan that meets the
criteria below:
a. Swine farm with at least 50 sow level
b. Poultry with at least 10,000 broilers or 5000 layers
c. Cattle farm with at least 50 heads
d. Goat farm with at least 50 doe level
e. The owner/supervisor should not be immediate relatives of any of
the trainees (parents/cousins/uncles/grandparents)
Duration of Field practice:
1. April to May, a total of five weeks
2. Two to four weeks per station (to be determined by draw lots)
Fees:
NON-PAYMENT OF FEE Php 600.00/ NO WAIVER/TRAINING
PLAN/LETTER OF CONFIRMATION, NO FIELD PRACTICE.
Take note:
Please be advised that some farms may require more intensive
medicals (example: PCC requires additional TB testing)

In some farms, they require paraphernalia such as fiber glass
syringe, needles, gloves, silk, scissors and forceps.

Additional Guidelines:
Students who shall cause the blacklisting of CLSU from
farms shall receive automatically a grade of 5.0.
