Wrist Strap System Tester

1. EXACT-171 Wrist Strap Tester

Anti-static wrist strap tester model EXACT-171 provides simple and reliable tests.

The operator wears the wrist strap band on their wrist as normal.
Insert the banana plug into the jack located on the front of the wrist strap tester.
Then push the metal push button on the wrist strap tester.
The tester measures the resistance of the ground path from the skin of the operator through the ground cord of the wrist strap.
A properly operating wrist strap will give an "OK" LED indication on the wrist strap tester. If either RED "FAIL LOW" or
YELLOW "FAIL HIGH" LED's light, and the audible indicator sounds, then the wrist strap should be discarded and replaced
with a new one.

2. EXALT-498 Wrist Strap Tester

-Used to check wrist straps and ground cords, as well as the contact resistance between wrist strap and skin.
- To operate, simply connect the tester to the ground cord of the wrist strap assembly, and press the finger pad.
- If the wrist strap and ground cord are working properly (resistance between 500K and 10M), the green "GOOD" lamp will light
up and an audible signal will be heard. A lit red "HIGH" lamp, with no audible signal heard, indicates loose contact between wrist
band and skin (resistance greater than 10M). A lit red "LOW" lamp, with no audible signal heard, indicates a faulty ground cord
resistor (resistance less than 500K).
- It comes with 8-ft. grounding wire and 9V battery.
