2014 Cascade Yarns - All Rights Reserved.
Finished Size: The final pattern is for a size One Size Fits All, but if you desire
more coverage or a bigger poncho, add an extra round of motifs in the outer
edge of the poncho, or use a bigger hook for larger motifs.
Yarn: Cascade Yarns Sunseeker Yarn (47% cotton, 48% acrylic, 5% metallic
yarn). 100 grm/237 yard skein. Color: 10 (light blue), 6 skeins.
Hook: Size C/2-2.75 mm. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct
gauge.
Notes: The poncho is constructed join the motifs as-you-go, for a seamless
look. See picture of the open poncho below for placement of the motifs. The
motifs will alway join through the outer round: through the picots and the
5-ch loops.
Stitch Guide:
Beginning 3-dc together (beg dc3tog): Ch 3, yarn over, insert hook in middle of picot, pull up loop, yarn over, draw through 2
loops, twice (you should have 3 loops on hook), yarn over, draw through all loops on hook.
Dc3tog (dc3tog): yarn over, insert hook in middle of picot, yarn over and pull up loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops, 3 times (4
loops on hook), yarn over, draw through all loops on hook.
Picot: Ch 3, insert hook in the front loop of your sc, and also in the left side loop of your single crochet. That will give you 3 loops on
your hook. Yarn over, and pull through all three loops.
