BEHIND THE SCENES

Hello, everyone, and welcome to
GalMUN! This years edition
involved the right amount of
devotion from the right people.
Even with chaotic changes, the
MUN Directors and the members
of the staff adapted and finished
all the preparations and check-ups
in due time.
The Opening Ceremony brought
pleasant surprises. Who would
have thought about creating a
BadMUN and riddling instead of
unriddling (Honourable Chaos, please, keep talking on the phone and ignore our humble
assembly while our delegates prove that world domination cannot be achieved)? Or have
the opportunity of listening to a UN Youth Delegate of Romania? It was a beautiful
commencement and we can only wonder what will follow.
Dear Panic, please let this years delegates enjoy their
opportunity to address the floor. Dear Slavery, do not
interfere with their freedom of sharing their brilliant
ideas. Please bear this in mind: the key to success is
perseverance along with unstinting practice! Therefore,
we are encouraging you to speak regardless of your
experience or age.
We officially declare the GalMUN 2015 Conference
open! May your judgement not be clouded!

The exigency of the Environment Committees

smoothly put, manages to be aesthetic to the
oblivious reader, while raising concern to the one
who knows exactly what the problems evoked
are. Overconsumption and overpopulation
entailing alarming catastrophes are a real matter
of concern.

Do you want to be the victim of the next

massacre? If the answer is no, be our best
delegate. Well, that seemed encouraging when
you applied to this committee, did it not? As
dramatic as things might seem at first sight, The
Islamic State organization does not frighten you,
is that right, fellow delegate? It kills people,
convinces its members to commit suicide in the
name of their religion and takes innocent people
hostages. But those are normal circumstances
that one faces every day, right?

I suggest you leave your past beliefs at the door,

as you are not looking for traditional methods of
enactment. It is your duty to start mending what
humanity broke at an expediting pace since the
Industrial Revolution. But keep in mind. Time is
running short for mankind. Non-conformism is
now your sole tool.
I wish to you inspiration, courage and a drop of
madness, for you to see what the others did and
do not yet.

Let us be serious now! The situation is utterly

critical and it is your job not only to soothe
families pain, but to fight this organization and
obliterate them altogether. U.S. and Jordan
expect you on their side. A line has been crossed
and as fanatic and resourceful as ISIS may be,
we shall find a way to limit their power and
make them face the consequences of their deeds!

The fate of death penalty hangs by a thread, and the scissors are in your
hands

Better poor and free than slave and sorry

Life matters, but whose? Only in 2013, 38 death

inmates were executed in the U.S. alone, while other
thousands in Asian countries shared the same finale.
We would have thought that evolution struck
mankind with the invention of electricity, but it
appears that it did not. Even though officials try to
continually ensure that capital punishments
implementation rigorously upholds constitutional
protections, studies of the death penalty reached
various conclusions about its effectiveness in
deterring crime.
Is it effective? Is it morally right to take an eye for
an eye? Is there complete objectivity in the judging
process? Are we sure that the silenced prisoners
were actually guilty? What if they were not? Is the
judicial system dependable without recall? What if
the defendants were the victims of prejudice,
racism or corruption?

Are you satisfied with your current financial

situation? No? We can help. We can offer you a
job. Think. What would you do when faced
with hunger and disease? You would say Yes,
without being actually fully-informed only
desperate and ignorant of the peril lurking
around the corner. You would be manipulated
and deprived of your freedom without even
noticing, hence vulnerable to being the next
victim of modern slavery. Dehumanization,
violence and abuse would closely follow.
Stop! Take a look around and remember where
you are. You are the only hope of a growing
number of people currently in such a moment of
crisis. Rebuild the system, cover and improve
the law breeches and secure slaves way
towards sustainable freedom. If you cannot
maybe you should ask yourself: are you truly
free?

tried before have not, but beware! This is a
problem that has not been resolved for 13 years
now. You must work as a single mind to be the
ones who solve the problem and break the bad
luck. You have to succeed, and you will only if
you are able to search for the answer where no one
dared and understand what others have not.
