    State Owned Company (BUMN) has essential role for Indonesian economic growth to reach people’s welfare and prosperity. In the government era of Soesilo Bambang Yudhoyono, BUMN had a great role to carry out Masterplan for Acellerating and Expanding Indonesian Economic Development (MP3EI) in entire Indonesia. In 2013, projects which have performed ground breaking reached 365 projects valued Rp. 828.71 trillion spreading in six Economic Corridors (EC). In 2014 ground breaking of MP3EI projects was 166 projects valued Rp. 628.82 trillion. Based on the observation of CDMI that in the last five years (2010 – 2014) the performance of BUMN Indonesia had increased rapidly. Various bright breakthroughs had been rolled and various expansions were carried out. Therefore, there were several BUMN of which the asset, income and profit increased spectacularly. In 2013, income of all BUMN reached Rp. 1,792.3 trillion and predicted to rise rapidly in 2014 to Rp. 1,912.0 trillion. Almost all BUMN banks had satisfying performance including Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), Bank Mandiri, Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI), and Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN). BUMN of other sectors with satisfying performance included PT. Kereta Api Indonesia, PT. Perusahaan Gas Negara, Pegadaian, Perum PERUMNAS and 50 other BUMNs. Due to increasing performance and competitive ability, several Indonesian BUMNs have grown globally and their reputation has been acknowledged in international world such as PT. Semen Indonesia, PT. Garuda Indonesia, PT. Wijaya Karya, PT. Waskita Karya, PT. Pertamina, PT. Timah, PT. Bukit Asam, PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Perum BULOG and others. Unsurprisingly, these BUMNs have received awards in national and international level. In 2014, shares of most of BUMNs which were registered in Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) increased highly and it was more than the rising price of composite stock index (IHSG). BUMN in construction and health sectors leads the increasing share price followed by banking and infrastructure sectors. To keep on raising the performance of BUMN, Indonesia under the leadership of Joko Widodo gives a fund of State Capital Participation (PMN) to 36 BUMNs valued Rp. 37.27 trillion. Unfortunately, not all of BUMNs have satisfying performance. Based on the investigation of CDMI that there are several BUMNs of which their performance has declined in the last five years. Therefore, they are not able to increase their income and profit. Even, some of them suffer from a loss. Based on the investigation output of Financial Investigation Bureau (BPK), a number of BUMNs which suffer from a loss are due to their failure in investment. Some 80% of BUMNs is reported to have managed their financial statement well but their weakness is their low expansion and investment so they suffer from a loss. BUMNs of this category are expected to be able to cooperate with local and foreign investors. Book of BUMN Directory shows clearly the development of total assets, liability, capital and income of every BUMN.
