Our highly experienced and skilled coaches focus on teaching the basic soccer
elements with a new theme each day dedicated to a specific soccer skill.

Welcome to the Nepean Hotspurs Soccer Club 2015 Summer Development Camp offered to
competitive players. Our main goal is skill development and instilling a joy of playing the game.
Our Summer Camp focuses on the development of small technical skills with a concentration
on individual ball mastery. This, when combined with fun and physical activity, will inspire love
and passion for the game of soccer.

CAMP CURRICULUM
Players will be given instructions with respect to the universal principles of play, developing players
creativity, and the ability to have a fun while playing the game at the early stages of their development;
Small sided game format to ensure player involvement and maximize ball contact emphasis on attacking
and two-way game play, rather than player positional profiling;
Seven a side format (including GK) with a ratio of one coach per 15 players;
Small sided game play, technical skill work, and feedback to teach players awareness of the game (doing
the right thing at the right time);
Game technique: (1) when you have the ball, (2) when the opposing team has the ball, and (3) when you
lose the ball (transition play);
Maximum number of players per session 15;
Goalkeepers coaching throughout the game;
Coaching principle and methodology at the highest possible level to match national soccer standards
in coaching age-specific teams.

DAILY PROGRAM
MONDAY: Individual player technique - ball control, movement with the ball in game-like situations.
Goalkeeper ball control and playing techniques.
TUESDAY: Two fundamental soccer skills passing and receiving - basic techniques in passing and
receiving and its importance for the game. Receiving the ball the single most important fundamental skill
in soccer. Goalkeepers ball distribution.
WEDNESDAY: Dribbling, shooting, touch, accuracy all the skills are developed through a series of
creative drills and small-sided games with active goalkeeper involvement.
THURSDAY: We will explore playing the game combination play, group play, support and mobility
during the game pass and move. using the goalkeeper as a player.
FRIDAY This is a game day - well play all kinds of soccer related games and well have a series of small
sided games.

All participants will receive a camp T-shirt.


Players are to come equipped with appropriate soccer equipment and light refreshments.
