A few key words need to be understood and concepts, taken into account
when examining the problems involving Ebola all around the world. These
words include Outbreak, Ebola, Virus, Evolution, Pathogen, Infectious
Disease, and Sterilization. The most important word to understand between
the previous mentioned is Outbreak. What does this mean and how will it
affect our lives as Ebola-lypse comes to America. An outbreak is the
sudden or violent start of something unwelcome, such as war and disease.
What however is an outbreak of disease and how are these things classified?
What fits this criteria? A disease outbreak is the occurrence of cases of
disease in excess of what would normally be expected in a defined
community, geographical area or season. An outbreak may occur in a
restricted geographical area, or may extend over several countries. It may
last for a few days or weeks, or for several years. A single case of a
communicable disease long absent from a population, or caused by an agent
(e.g. bacterium or virus) not previously recognized in that community or
area, or the emergence of a previously unknown disease, may also constitute
an outbreak and should be reported and investigated. Outbreaks are linked

to many concepts, but one of the factors that is always a predictor is that
oubreaks almost always occur in low income areas. We can see how this
applies in the case of Ebola. The two White Americans that have had Ebola
were cured, this goes to show that there is no lack of medicine to provide a
cure, it is simply about major pharmaceuticals that blocks these. The two
articles we have read differ in one major way. One claims that Ebola is a
major threat while the other claims that it is not. Lets look at one correlation
that After Ebola claims we should learn a lesson from. The first one is that
we need to strengthen our national defense against these. That is one of the
major correlation that the article claims exists. Is that we need to make sure
that the borders are guarded to keep out infectious diseases. The two
reactions between these articles is seen in many ways, they directly contrast
though. For instance, Ebola in America claims that we need to stay away
from the countries with it. Whilst the other article claims we need to do more
to help them. The two articles clearly communicate their ideals, and they are
well worded. The outbreak needs to be stopped, the concensus of the articles
however is that America doesnt need to do it.
