EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A competent network design is the foundation upon which all successful network
implementations are built. Nowadays, computer networks have become a critical
component of a successful business. Companies use networks to gather information from
different computers, which are designed to analyze different components of a business
such as revenue, loss and profit. A computer network is also essential for managerial
purposes, because in a company all the computers accessing information from a database
are connected to each other and the database through a network.
Long gone are the days when a network was created simply by connecting a set of
devices. Today, because of the increased dependence of businesses on computer
networks, network designing has become very complex. A network designer has to first
analyze the requirements of a client and then, keeping in view the probable traffic and
security risks, design the network in the most efficient manner. When the efficiency of a
network is increased, network design becomes complex. A computer network is utilizes
by the employees of a company for communication as well as information gathering (as
in business intelligence). A network design must take into account the level of
information accessible to each employee and make theft of information impossible.
This network design proposal will be instigated for a business named Bubble
GAM Coworking Spaces which, as of the moment, is in development. The main purpose
of this proposal is to practically apply the networking concepts and theories learned
during class discussions into actual networking scenarios. It will include access controls,
network infrastructure and network policies in accordance to the requirements in line
with the system specifications of the organization.

ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND

Bubble GAM Coworking Spaces is an innovative place that brings people

together who share the need for a place to conduct their business, tasks, or projects in an
interactive space. It is a place where independent workers, small businesses and corporate
workgroups can gather to share ideas, team up on projects and get some work done. They
are a business center that gives their customers an alternative to working from home or
meeting at the local coffee shop. They offer: Casual and flexible workspaces for
freelancers, entrepreneurs and mobile workers available on a membership basis;
Permanent workspaces for individuals and groups, also available on a membership basis;
Extraordinary meeting rooms and collaborative settings for rent by the public; and
Educational and social events for members and the public. They also offer amenities such
as free wi-fi, office facilities like print, scan and copy, free coffee, tea and water, and use
of pantry and common area.
Bubble GAM Coworking Spaces came about in a way that many businesses do - a
need arose in the market of Bacolod City and no one was meeting that need. Graxita Grey
and Mejjy OBrien spent 14 years working for Apple and managed a highly successful
and profitable multi-million dollar business from their home office. They often found
themselves jockeying for cord position at Starbucks or Caf Bobs, speaking in hushed
tones and looking over their shoulder. If not at a coffee shop they were renting expensive
meeting spaces or working in relative isolation in their homes. They had a need for a
professional, welcoming space that provided meeting rooms, connectivity and most
importantly, human interaction. They missed two things about their corporate life before

they started their own home business: office amenities and the camaraderie of working in
a shared space. They dreamed of a comfortable, modern, and continually evolving
workspace in which ideas and creativity could flourish. The result is Bubble GAM. With
the privacy of a home office, the support of a corporate office, and the social aspect of a
coffee shop, Bubble GAM strives to provide affordable professional support for all types
of people.
Bubble GAM's funky vibe is instantly felt upon walking through its doors. The
industrial style interior dcor, beautifully designed lighting, functional desks, caf zone
and a lounge area that boasts comfy beanbags and a stylish sofa make the experience of
working at the space memorable, to say the least. Put this alongside the state-of-the-art
tech backbone, and youve got the perfect environment for freelancers, virtual assistants,
creative types and startup entrepreneurs to all work together, in an atmosphere that
simply cannot be found anywhere else in Bacolod.
Bubble GAM will be launched in the Philippines on December 2014. It offers
daily, weekly, and monthly passes, where people can opt for early morning or late
afternoon visits, or unlimited access. It costs around Php 200 to Php 550 for daily rates;
Php 2,000 to Php 3,000 weekly, and Php 5,000 to 7,500 monthly. The 10-square-meter 4floor office can accommodate an estimate of 150 coworking seats at a time. It also has an
additional 25 to 40 seat capacity in its meeting rooms.

FLOOR PLAN

This section shows the design of the building for Bubble GAM Coworking
Spaces. The first floor is the cafeteria where the people can work and eat. The second
