Faith in Hebrews
Faith in Hebrews is subtly tied to works. This is not to
say that the writer of Hebrews explains that we need
works as well as faith, but rather that faith is evidenced
in the works of the “great cloud of believers”.

Often our concept of faith becomes something about

“head knowledge”, but faith is really more of a
preparation for action than a preparation for knowledge.

Hebrews is also very clear that the object of faith is

simply the sacrifice of Jesus Christ – that He died for and
paid for our sins with His death. Because we know this
Christ, we have faith that we cannot be put down by this
world and can run the race set before us with
endurance.

Please don’t throw this away. If you’re not going to use it, leave it for
someone else to use.
