INSTALLATION
-----------On your system:
1) Place the addon file in the "addons" directory of the game you want to play i
t in.
-----------On a dedicated server:
1) Place the addon file in the "addons" directory on the server.
(The below is REQUIRED for L4D2 servers, and recommended for L4D servers.)
2) Install SourceMod. Refer to the SourceMod site for installation instructions.
3) Place the plugin file in the "addons/sourcemod/plugins" directory on the serv
er.
4) Place the plugin extension file in the "addons/sourcemod/gamedata" directory
on the server.
-----------PLAY
---For Left 4 Dead:
Single Player:
------------1) Select "Play Single Player", NOT "Play Campaign".
2) Choose Hunter Training in the addon campaign list, and start the game.
3) Wait until you spawn as a ghost smoker in the start room.
Multiplayer:
----------1) Open L4D2
\/Skip this step if you do not have a dedicated server.
2) Run "ms_dedicated_force_servers <server_ip>" in console, replacing <server_ip
> with your server's IP address.
3) Start a new Versus Lobby.
4) Select Hunter Training in the addon campaign list.
4a) Select "Best Available" (if you have a dedicated server).
4b) Select "Local" (if you do not).
5) When everyone is ready, start the game.
---For Left 4 Dead 2:
Single Player:
------------1) open console
2) type "map hunter_training_map versus" without the quotes
3) Press enter.
Multiplayer:

----------1) Open L4D2


\/Skip this step if you do not have a dedicated server.
2) Run "ms_dedicated_force_servers <server_ip>" in console, replacing <server_ip
> with your server's IP address.
3) Start a new Versus Lobby.

SPECIAL NOTICE FOR L4D2


----------------------Many commands are now only able to be executed by a player;
two commands that HTM uses: "z_spawn", "give".
What does this mean for you?
On L4D2 dedicated servers, the auto-spawning in the first corridor and in spawn
rooms, will no longer work, and your health will go down when you are hit.
These issues only affect L4D2 dedicated servers. Everything else is unaffected.
Spawn yourself as a hunter by typing "z_spawn hunter" into your console, or
putting 'bind <key> "z_spawn hunter" ' in your autoexec.cfg, without the ', and
pressing <key> to spawn. (Replace <key> with any key - use Google to find the
names of the keys if you don't know them.)
For auto-heal, add this to your autoexec.cfg:

Press <key1> to turn it on; <key2> to turn it off.
At this point there is no known way to correct these problems.
As soon as one is found I will fix them, probably in a plugin update.

Reorganized Challenges 16-18 to better reflect difficulty.


Added two "Secret" techniques: "Jump start" (in C3), and "Pounce Sliding" (in C9

Made C18 more difficult by adding two more floors (The "V" and the "Man") and ma
king half the walls fail-ports.
Changed the "Diamond" floor in C18 to "Star".
Added fail-port destination to bottom of C18 so that players don't have to re-do
the floor bit if they screw up the ceiling pounce.
Dimmed the lighting to reduce glare.
Added L4D2 MP enabler plugin interoperability for use on L4D2 dedicated servers.
Wrote L4D2 MP enabler plugin (Available separately on Allied Modders forums, "[L
4D2 & L4D] Hunter Training Map Multiplayer Enabler")

Non-compatible models replaced with brushes- not as pretty, but whatever.
C9 has side corridor to skip past it, due to the hunter's inability to bunny pou
nce in L4D2.

Minor changes to the Live Fire Course, which requires SourceMod >= 1.4 to play i
n L4D2 (no issue in L4D).
