Introduction

Carson and Baba have played ironman together before. They have been through hell and back with
Rage and Fox but today they bring their secret weapon iMoto with them on this 50 hours adventure.
This run was absolutly amazing from the start to the end, many ups and downs, lots of deaths, a few
godly items, plenty of pizzas, teas, coffees but not very much sleep but a very epic ending.

Note : Some purists will say we did not get a true triple crown because we left about a dozen
enemies in cage 4 on Hell/Hell 16, but if you read the story you will see what kind of crap we had to
deal with at the end and if the game was slightly more stable we probably would have had it clean.

NORMAL
Tristram
We start by selling the staff to buy 3 ids scrolls along with a 8 small shield and 6 ac cloak for the
warrior. We keep the bow because we already ahve what we need. Carson gives Baba the club and
the team is ready to go down.

Church 1
Ironman friendly floor 1. Staff of heal other 28 drops in on of the first room so we already have a
good feeling about this. Ids are dropping everywhere from scroll and book rooms, and a staff of
healing 26! We end the floor with 10 ids, 1 res, and a book of healing for Baba.
Church 2
Once again, very good floor for ressources. Second staff of healing with 22 charges drops early with a
staff of charged which Baba uses to take down a couple elite packs in a big hallway.
Random book of heal other drops from a goblin, nice this is it! Goblin boss drops a staff of firewall so
we have a happy wizard. Carson is low on experience and barely hits lvl 5 before butcher because
Baba is taking a lot of exp. Butcher ends up being quite a challenge for our underleveled team and
Carson is down to 3 hp at some point when he has to pot. About 7 or 8 charges of heal other later,

butcher falls. Extra res scroll is found also. Whew let's hope this run stays alive.. still no sign of holy
bolt.

Church 3
We are playing slowly because of the lack of holy bolt and under leveled against red archers. Lots of
freezing is done to progress through them. Staff of healing 38 drops from a skelton boss. We in there
:) Big rooms are problematic and Baba uses the staff to heal carson form far away while he chases
archers.
We run into Leoric about mid floor and decide to take him on. Bad idea. Carson is getting murdered
and Leo is up to stable 310 HP. We decide to pack our stuff and run for our lives! Five minutes later,
Carson loses Leoric in the west corner so we are allowed to finish the floor and hope for a warrior
boost or holy bolt.
Leather of aut from zombie boss, nice, extra dex against Leo! We have enough ids at this point and
we don't want the run to die to Leo so we id it. Warrior has 35 ac at lvl 6 but low dex means Leo will
still get through and leech life.
Morning star finally drops. Hunter bow dropped as moto hits lvl 2.
Now we gotta face the Skelton King without holy bolt so Baba just drops 2 firewalls on him. Good
game Leo and he drops leather armor for iMoto.

Rip Leo, we will find your son etc...


Church 4

We run into the blick elite pack. Babanim has the very bad idea of using charged bolt staff against
them and almost gets killed with 1 hp left. Full red pot is used :/ Lesson learned. Two extra ressurect
scrolls drop! Pretty easy floor 4, lightning book drops from a book case and is soon used to kill Pulse
Crawler's group.
Cats 5
Goat archers were doored and shotgunned. Charged bolt staff massacre on archer elite pack while
iMoto bows down the boss and he drops staff of resurrect! Only 5 charges but hey :)Very easy floor,
nothing major happened. We get a vitality shrine for warrior and roll a divine from a goat shrine.
Cats 6
We start the level with nice desync and iMoto get her first pk. It's ok, not much we can do about it.
Good old firewall staff doing work with the big doored rooms full of stalkers and bats. Very good exp
for Baba. We had a desynced firewall kill Carson so Baba had to res him with the staff. Book of
firewall and stone curse from a book room and 1 id. Ouuuuuhh!!!
Cats 7
Room full of horned demons was found right away, easy for firewalls. We use the murky pool and
find out there are melee night clans and and spitters around the room, let's play it slow we said.
Everything gets toasted and bowed down in the doors as we progress. Staff of lightning drops for
some extra mage power. Carson get stun locked and has to drink 3 pots and mage 1 because he
ould t get a k i the oo due to too u h stuff o the g ou d. Oops!
Another staff of firewall drops so Baba is spamming those everywhere. Melee goat boss burned
down. Baba has lvl 6 town portal spell by the end of this floor ... wut?

Dinner is served!

Cats 8
Weaver ambush dealt with easily. Book of mana shield drops from the first book room YUSSS!
Massive amount of weaver are zapped with the lightning staff to save us from being overwlehmed.
There is about 30 weavers around the first room before we find door.

They were everywhere and that dying weaver sound was very satisfying to hear.
Book of heal other from second bookcase. Staff of stone curse and id from 3rd room. Another staff of
lightning drops to replace the one im using.. unbelievable. Rip weavers. Desync firewall pks carson
again, one more charge used on the staff of res, damnit. Two long battle bows for the rogue and a
broad sword for carson. Some extra damage won't hurt for the caves.
Caves 9
We start with a really bad door that is partially blocked by a wall. One melee goat and desync makes
iMoto pot so we know our set is bad. Next pull of 3 spitters and a couple goats gets Carson killed
because he can't get in the door and the wizard has to spam lightnings to clear up dogs and goats
with the help of the rogue. Once we get out of that bad set, we clear the floor without any problem.

Terrible set !
Another staff of firewall drops to replace lightning staff once it's done. Kite shield and crown for
warrior drop and short war bow 165 dura for rogue.
Caves 10
Infravision is used on a bad spawn point to reveal red storms and blood stones. Thank god no lava
lords. No good set for a while cause some potion drink to clean up packs of enemies. Chainmails for
warrior and rogue. Another staff of firewall drops.. what are we gonna do with all of those?? Once
sets are established we are dealing with the mobs pretty well only using occasional heal others and
light i g to thi up the igge pa ks. U i ue wa staff d ops ut we de ide its ap a d do t id it.
Res scroll drop. 15 ids, 4 res total.
Caves 11
No set to start with once again, slayers and flayed ones around the corners. Some mana pots are
used to kill those. Good thing Baba has all those lightnings. Now we are starting to feel very
undergeared for this floor and decide it's time to spend some ids. We start with a couple of rings, 15
str and 13 dex, nice ! 50 ac plate mail drops for Carson so now we have a tank. Carson is pulling 4-5+
slayers/flayed ones every fight so Baba have to use lightning constantly to thin them up. Carson gets
surrounded at some point and out of the wizard's sight, he has to pot at 3 hp. Ironballs. Few minutes
later he gets swarmed again on a tricky 2 tiles bridge and dies, lol. These sets are horrible !! Baba
even pks carson trying to save him from a 4 monsters ambush. This floor is pretty heavy on
resources because the fail gates are wide open. We finally find a good set and single lightning can hit
like 3-4 enemies at a time so we work the rest of the level well. Long war bow from a chest.
Caves 12

We take 3 steps in the level to find some guardians and lava maws, oh boy! Ok, we have more than
enough heal charges to get trough the floor even if carson is taking quite a lot of damage from spits
and infernos. We still decide to id a ring. 20 vit and 30 fire resist. LOL ! Definatly helps but the lava
maws are spitting at us from across lava rivers and it make the progression really slow and painful.
iMoto and carson are both bowing down dogs for minutes. They finally have carson dance around to
dodge shots while iMoto takes care of the plinking. Slow process they have so much range also we
are working our way south which makes it even worst. Baba decides to use the 15 str ring to wear a
war staff of stone curse that had dropped recently and helps them with the dancing dogs across
rivers. Rogue is really happy to see those curses because the dogs are "soooo annoying!!".

At some point while Carson is scouting, 2 random dogs show up so Baba and iMoto have to split up
to kill them. Baba uses lightning to kill the dog on him but he also happens to hit iMoto like 2 screen
away with it. What a shame, she had just bravely survived the dog fight only to get killed by the
wizard, haha.. oh well ! After a lot of stone cursing and healing we finally manage to get through and
still find enough potions to fill up inventories. Lava maws and rivers are not fun!!
Hell 13
Infravision reveal vipers and cabalysts. Scres drops from one of the fist enemy and a gothic shield
also. We have Carson dance left and right to make the cabalysts teleport closer to us so iMoto can
ow the i two shots o so. Whe that does t wo k, we have moto snipe some from far away but
that is again slow and painful as we are still getting shot in the process. Kebabs are also used against
them and even that staff of firewall is seeing a lot of use. Staff of chain lightning drops, that's going to
be helpful. A pretty tired warrior pulls 6 vipers at some point and dies as Baba is stone cursing.
Wizard and rogue start kiting them, iMoto has a close call getting cut off by 4 vipers as we are pulling
back but she survives somehow. Woo! Gothic plate drops for warrior and staff of mana shield to save

some mana for the wizard. Baba gets caught by a couple vipers at the end of the level and end up
dying as we are trying to back in a safer position. Next pull carson dies because hes trying to back
around a corner at low health and use staff of healing but gets caught by firebolts. Thats 2 res in 2
minutes for the last room, ouch! Creepy cauldron for warrior. Carson is down to 10 potions we will
have to be careful from now on.
Hell 14
Shitty spawn point ambushed by 3 lava maws and a hellspawn. Probably the worst pull of the entire
run happened right after. Five lava maws were pulled from south and we ran away from them north
.. in a room with five more hell spawns!! After drinking a total of 6 reds and 4 blues, we manage to
survive without any death. Oh boy that was chaoctic! Can't believe we didn't wipe here.

"5 Hellspawns in there? Ok we are fucked."


At this point we are pretty scared for this run, resources are draining fast and the enemies are just
getting worst. Hell spawns are very smart and can't be abused. We still have tons of healing charges
in the staves but we can't use them in combat and we need to stop drinking our pots. As long as we
can keep the pulls small, we can just heal in between fights and save the potions.
After that terrible engagement, we finally have a set to work with so Baba can use the chain lightning
staff against the dogs. Stareye boss is cursed and Book of fireball drops. Ring drops from a viper and
we immediately id it for +16 dex! Carson is no longer scared of anything. Big pull of vipers and dogs
are fun with chain lightning staff and a good set . Gothic plate drops and we decide to id it for Carson,
ends up being +33 all resist, not bad! Our warrior gets stunned by a dog while scouting and got shot
by a bunch succubi at the same time and dies instantly. As iMoto and Babanim are retreating, the
wizard gets lost and runs in the wrong direction. Rogue and wizard being split up are causing to drink
a couple more pots than we had to. Carson has a belt of reds left, Baba has 6 small blues and 6 big

blues.. uh oh.. seriously short on pots with 2 floors to go. Thanksfully we are done with this one. Kind
chest drops 2 reds before we go down :)
Hell 15
Balrogs and some kind of witch revealed by infravision. We decide to id a ring from previous floor, 36
magic resist +18 dex, Ohhh! Baba is carrying this 4 ac blue helm that dropped in 14 and we decide to
id it also because we are on a roll. +20 dex !! WHAT THE HELL!! Ok now we are in there, our warrior
has 114 dex and plenty of resists. Next we kill a single balrog that drops another ring. Why not! Ends
up being +35mana +34 life, not bad for mage! Bloodlust randomly shows up and is cursed and drop
splint mail. Short war bow drops from a snow witch, and we decide to id since we had so many ids
left anyway, its +8 all stats, not bad at all! This level is pretty easy with our gear so we start hunting
a d a efully pull a k to a set fo ultiple al ogs. But Ca so does t stick to the plan and pulls 6
balrogs in our newly found blood fountain set so Baba has to lightning everything for the cost of a
mana pot. Two minutes later carson bring in 6 more balrogs and they are dancing everywhere in the
room, moto dies, lightning spam begins from the mage and we recover for the cost of another mana
pot.

It was pretty hot in here on multiple occasions


Jesus Ch ist Ca so !! I do t thi k at that poi t we had a s alle pull that 3 al ogs at a ti e. Jade
and vex both come out at the same time and are both stone cursed and both die in the same firewall.
Laz is pulled at the same time as a hellspawn and iMoto ends up getting killed, down to 1 res scroll,
but we still have the staff. Carson bows down the last succubi and we get iMoto back up to finish
Lazarus room. We decide to id 1 more amulet and 1 more ring. Amulet is 29 magic and ring is 31 all
resist, wow! Those loots ! Wait it's not over yet! We decide to roll the cauldron with all those magic
items, and we get a glimmering shrine! Brutal broad sword 92%, crystal ring mail of sorcery 49/16
(ohhh!), 12 resist all amulet and a steel ring of the moon 11/4. 15 wasn't too bad after all and with all
these loots, guess what, we in there!!

Hell 16
With the rogue at 73% fire and 43% magic resist, she is fearless for 16. Carson and iMoto work
together with the staff of healing to clear around the cages pretty easily. Knights can't hit the warrior
because he's got high dex and advocates just dont do enough damage to the rogue so she's just
tanking the fireballs and dropping the mages one by one. Ring from advocate drops, we ID for +19
dex... we don't need dex but it still an upgrade. Staff of Phasing drops and we are all relieved because
now we can trap Diablo easily. One close call with 4 blood knights on Carson at one point but we
have enough room to string them and deal with it. Advocates still falling left and right to our fierce
rogue. After cleaning cage 3, Baba parks Diablo while warrior and rogue stand in the top left corner
with shields on. Extra book of mana shield drops, nice. After clearing all the cages, we pick up all the
best and most expensive items we can from floor 16 and move on to cage 2 where Diablo is waiting
for us. Firewall spam makes very quick work of Diablo and he can't even touch carson even if Baba
doesn't have holy bolt. Probably the easiest 16 we've seen. Good stuff!

NIGHTMARE

Nightmare Tristram

After selling all the crap we carried and ided, we have around 90k to spend. From cain we got a
massive long war bow 100% and a savage hunter bow of lightning 111%, 1-10. Wirt is selling a
bastard sword of heaven +14 for 56k, wow, nice Wirt dude!! Adria has a Bountiful staff of stone curse
45 charges for only 10k, NICE ADRIA DUDE !! Unfortunatly, Griswold has nothing for us this time. We
are pretty short on money so we can't reroll his inventory. We buy all the full juvs and ids, load
inventories with potions with a little more blues than reds, gets some res scrolls, recharges staves
(HO down to 14 charges) and are are ready to go down!
Nightmare Church 1
4 ids, Baba finds enough pots to kill most of the floor for some exp. iMoto and Carson sit back and
nothing really happened on this floor.
Nightmare Church 2
Butcher gets killed in the door right away, doesn't even touch the warrior. Book of HO from zombie
boss and an id d from a random enemy. Baba makes a dumb move and goes in a room, gets blocked
by a bunch of scavengers and doesnt want to use potion. Few seconds later we hear "I'm dead...
AUUGH!!". Oh well, res scroll dropped in the next minute so it's like nothing happened.
Nightmare Church 3
Holy bolt staff drops pretty early so we can deal with Leo very easily. Baba is blasting all the skellies
with with HB staff. Three ids drop from book rooms along with a book of HO and we are also very
excited to see.. an Eldritch shrine!! The run is real :D

Nightmare Church 4

We are using doors to deal with the goats since we have both melee and archers. Warrior's dex is
holding up but if he's getting hit by too many, his low ac lets too many blows through. They are easy
as long as Carson doesn't get surrounded and Baba doesn't heal the blinks/goats instead of Carson.
Nothing noteworthy dropped on this floor, bunch of useless books and no scrolls.
Nightmare Cats 5
Blue 17 tower shield drops for Carson. Baba finally finds a holy bolt book. Free floor with plenty of
replacement pots for Baba's lightning usage.
Nightmare Cats 6
Stalkers are around the starting area so Baba and iMoto are standing behind Carson until a door is
found. Carson gets stuck behind a door and is getting hit by a bunch of goats while Baba hits him with
a lightning so he has to use a pot. Oops! More firewall books from bookcase putting firewall duration
to about 2 years. This level is basicly a stalker BBQ. No luck on the shrines.
Nightmare Cats 7
Night clan archers are being pretty annoying. Carson gets killed in the first hallway and both iMoto
and Baba have to both to clear up the 5 archers. Thankfully theres a door to hold them. Next room is
really sketchy and theres are 7 archers firing on Carson when he decides to back and desperatly calls
for heals. Baba misses the last heal charge and doesn't realise it until the battle is over. Carson gets
killed, iMoto and baba back to the door and the archers start to dance around. Baba's mana shield
goes down and he gets killed by the very last archer as his healing spell get interrupted by arrows.
iMoto cleans up the last archer. We played horrible there!! Book of phasing drops soon after so now
we don't have to worry about parking Diablo. Archer boss is burned down with multiple firewalls and
finished with sword and bow. Good thing we carried that heal other staff, it's being used tons on this
floor. Oh also a res staff with 7 charges dropped at the end :)
Nightmare Cats 8
Magma deamons an unseens mostly. Unseens are no problem but magmas needs to be doored.
Carson randomly gets killed by a bunch of unseen because he got caught on the move. That was a
pretty bad death but we can afford them. For now. Magmas elite pack is shotgunned succesfully.
Pretty easy floor despite the death. So far we took three hours to get in the caves and we are not
even rushing it, we are just pretty strong right now. 12 ids and plenty of res for caves.
Nightmare Caves 9
Night clan archers, spitters and mud runners. Nothing Carson's sword and iMoto's bow can't deal
with. We are feeling pretty confident and start hunting enemies until Carson pulls 4 dogs and dies as
he is pulling back but lightnings and arrows clear them up. Mud runner elite was acting pretty dumb
just looking at us so we just ranged them down.

Staff of heal other is finally depleted, who thought that 14 charges left from normal would last so
long! Pretty easy floor 9 considering but loots aren't very nice latly.
Nightmare Caves 10
Pit beast, Flayed ones and Storm riders. We find an insane set at the start that allows us to kill
around 20 enemies with bows until The Flayer elite pack shows up. These guys aren't that dumb and
4 of the minions go around the river to attack us. Stone curse takes care of the first 2. When the next
2 show up with a random flayed one, Baba has no sight on Carson because the enemies are attacking
from a bad angle and the warrior ends up dying after drinking 3 pots. . Stone curse is used on them
so we can clean up and res Carson. As soon as he is back on his feet, The Flayer shows up with his
1500 HP and slaps naked Carson in the face. RIP warrior again.

About 10 stone curses later, The Flayer falls to iMoto's rain of arrow and drops a freaking long bow.
Minutes later, iMoto gets trapped behind a bridge by 4 dogs, stone curse and a couple potions are
used to save the res scroll. 4:04. We find some fences to help us deal against the groups of enemies,
rest of the floor goes smoothly except for some desync that ended up with iMoto adding a Carson's
ear to her collection.
Nightmare Caves 11
We start the floor in front of a door and a viper immediatly shows up, nice! Vipers are very easy in
doors with our warrior's defense. Next pull is 7 Slayers coming from the south so Baba can't heal
Carson so he has to use potion. Looks like the bountiful stone curse staff will see some use in here!

Good thing we have a trusty wooden fence protecting us from those demon hordes!
Amulet drops from the next enemy and we decide to id, 16 dex.. really? Well, iMoto gets a
replacement for her topaz amulet at least. We can handle Slayers as long as there aren't 4 or more of
them. Res scroll drops to make up for our many recent deaths. Viper elite pack is burned down in a
fence. Viper boss just stares at iMoto while she bows it down for free. Later on, we used some bad
set and Baba pk'd Carson with firewall again. Four slayers and a couple vipers started chasing Baba
and iMoto but the stone curse staff prevailed. Staff of chain lightning drops at the end of the floor,
definatly going to carry that to hell! We id a gothic shield for Carson, -3 damage from enemies, not
too bad.
Nightmare Caves 12
We start with a pretty open area but at least we have a door to work with. We take a few steps in the
level and Carson gets fired on by witches. These witches are pretty dumb and can be frozen with
some finesse. Unique broad sword drops but since there is a possibility of getting Shadowhawk we
don't want to spend an id yet. Good news is the other enemy type is Slayers again which we dealt
with pretty easily on last floor. Whenever the pulls are too heavy, stone curse is used as usual. Baba
has to recharge the staff and loses 23 charges :O
iMoto unexpectedly gets killed by 3 succubi that were aggroed on her durnig a fight at a fence. It's
ok, the warrior and wizard back up to regroup and clear iMoto's body. Few minutes later Carson finds
the witch elite pack in the open and starts blocking their shots as Baba is healing him while iMoto's
shooting the witches. Thing is Baba can't see any of the missiles and just sees Carson's hp drop
randomly and eventually Carson gets bursted down faster than Baba can heal. We get the warrior
back on his feet and find a better set to fight them with the warrior freezing their AI. One by one the
witches fall and so does the boss. Rest of the floor goes relatively well and we are ready for hell!
Nightmare Hell 13

Pretty tight spawn point. Infravision reveals snow witches which we are pretty happy to see. As we
take a few steps in the level, we pull 4 Guardians and 4 witches with nowhere to run but our little
stair pocket. For the next minute Baba was just spamming stone curses and heal others as much as
possible while Carson was trying to stay alive and iMoto furiously shooting everything. After a pretty
good recover there only using 5 pots total for the team, Carson takes off his sword to use the staff of
healing and dies because that takes him to 0 HP. Nice! Carson pulled his own move perfectly.

Stuck in the corner with some company


Couple minutes later, we have a pretty small pull but Carson only survives with 26 health. He needs
29 to survive taking off his sword but still goes for a staff heal and dies again!! Double Carson award,
taking it to the next level.
More sharp corners makes the pulls scary and we need a good combo of SC/HO to survive until we
find a decent set. Also Carson only has 157 HP so Baba has to be fast with the heals during heated
fights. At least, we now have a bunch of kebabs to block the witches shots and Carson is doing a good
job at it. Unfortunatly he gets hit twice running away from Witchmoon and dies. Baba steps in with
stone curse and firewall to get rid of her. She drops ring mail which we will carry. Poor Carson dies
three more times during the floor trying to save potions and having some issues freezing the witches
so the res staff is draining fast on 13. Id drops from a chest.
Nightmare Hell 14
This time we have Hell spawns and Black knights. Since we dont have room to work with, stone curse
is used because we can't really deal with knight and witch combination. It's gonna take about 30 kills
before we can move out of the stair room to a more open area to deal with the witches without
having to curse everyone of them. As we are setting up for a battle, Carson instantly pops to a couple
knights, they probably got some lucky hits. Anyway, Baba and iMoto back to the stairs while a knight

and 3 witches are chasing. Many stone curse charges were used to save this fight but we stand strong
once again.

Kill them iMoto!


Hellspawn boss is frozen and taken care of easily. Slow floor but we have no choice with that enemy
combination and can't afford to res Carson 6 more times :P We finish the floor with over 100 Hell
spawn kills .. nice dude we love witches so much! Also staff of stone curse is finally depleted, it was
good while it lasted.
Nightmare Hell 15
Azure drake around the corner. Not too bad we can handle those. Next enemy is a Steel lord, nice!
Melees only will help us a lot but once again we need to go slowly because anything over 4 or 5 could
be a wipe. Nasty pull around the corner has Carson use 4 pots, we are sure missing that stone curse
staff. Bloodlust is pulled with 3 knights by mistake and she has 2400 HP, full mana globe of stone
curse used. Blood fountain room has a pillar in the middle of the door way which makes the best
floor 15 set we have ever seen. Only one enemy can fir through at a time due to their AI so even
when Baba pulled 12 enemies, it was all good. As soon as we move out to a new set, Carson get
owned by 3 vipers so we decide to go back to the blood fountain room. Baba was slow for the heals
on that one, can't blame Carson all the time unfortunatly :D Vex comes out first, cursed twice and
firewalled, drops a ring. Jade comes out second and drops rags.. what a witch! Laz comes out last and
suffers the same faith as his witches and also drops a ring! We decide to id 3 rings... 21 dex, 26 vit
and.....39 resist all with 58 hit points !! WOW !! That's a keeper even after the ironman run. Alright,
down to 16!
Nightmare Hell 16

iMoto has 179 HP and Carson now has 217 HP and they both have plenty of resistances for the
advocates. We drop the last 3 res scroll as soon as we go down. We start in a tight set near cage 1
and 2. So tight that 2 knights are a problem because of desync and Baba ends up dying to iMoto's
arrows. Down to 2 scrolls, hopefully we can have a smooth 16 like we did in normal. But nope, it will
not be the case. We are getting annoyed by a couple advocates in a northern pocket so we decide to
go in live. It was probably the worst idea we had in the nightmare run so far. About 7 Blood knights
were waiting for us in there with the advocates and as soon as they see us, Carson's internet starts
lagging like crazy and we all have the constant hourglass during the fight with the knights. It was a
total nightmare as Baba as to use 3 full mana pots to keep them cursed during the lag and Carson
had to use 4 reds. We somehow survive the fight but Baba is down to 4 mana pots and 1 full reju.
7:30 Not looking good unless we play it almost flawless from this point. At this point our mistake was
to not clear around cage 2 first to give us some space to kite. Lesson learned! Cage 1 is being brutal
with us, Baba drinks another pot, down to 3 blues.
Ok, so what happens next is a ironman wet dream. The team pulls back being chased by 4 knights.
Baba curses 2 of them and we kill them. The third one drops an id scroll, ok cool. The last one drops a
magical full plate mail to go with it ! We id it without question and Carson just says "Oh my fucking
god.. what the fucking fuck... ok... jesus christ" and drops the plate on the ground. Awesome full
plate mail of precision 133/17 on a 70 base. You could farm for that armor in regular play for a long
time before it drops but it just happened in our ironman run on 16, UNBELIEVABLE! At this point
Carson has pretty much perfect dex and blood knights have nothing on him anymore. This armor is
going to save this run because the knights were the only problem so far.

We better triple crown now...


Still some unfortunate hits on an impatient Baba makes him lose the mana shield and get hit pretty
bad, forcing him to drink the full reju around the end of cage 1. One more mana pot is used near cage
4, down to 2. We cleared cage 2 without any problem but too many advocates were pulled once in

cage 3 and another mana pot was used, down to one! Thankfully iMoto had some spare full juvs she
could give Baba to keep the occasional curses and heals going. Gorash is cursed twice and drops a
composite bow. Baba drinks his last mana pot parking Diablo. Thankfully iMoto had some spare full
juvs she could give Baba at that point because the wizard was almost drained. Carson dies clearing
cage 4 because of some terrible internet lag during a bad pull. So we have 14 pots left for diablo
fight, Carson get 6, Baba 5 and iMoto 3 which will prove to be plenty for an easy Diablo kill ! Amazing
job once again, iMoto, those advocates didn't stand a chance! WE IN THERE!!

HELL

Hell Tristram
Good ids from Cain: Mithril broad sword of speed, Sapphire large shield 52%, Lapis ring 33%. Nothing
from Wirt, but Adria has an Angel staff of inferno that we purchase. Griswold has a long war bow
with 48% to hit and 10 all stats, so good for iMoto, and Carson rerolls a 11 all stats helm for Baba,
thanks blacksmith! Baba is now over 530 mana. We fill up our inventories with potions, res scroll,
recharge the staves and good to go!
Hell Church 1
One id drops and Baba decides to replace his Angel staff by a staff of healing 34 charges. We still
have a full staff of healing 38 from normal that we haven't used yet but we never know in hell mode.
Uneventful floor 1.

Hell Church 2
Two ids from book room. Baba walks into Butcher's room and lights up the place for an easy kill while
iMoto bows down a archer boss. Very few archers made the floor pretty free, Carson is just way too
strong for this place!
Hell Church 3
Burning dead archers eww! Carson and iMoto team up to deal with the first room full of those nasty
skeltons. Second room is wide open and has 30 horrors with Leoric waiting for us. We have nowhere
to go and they are charging at us.. uh oh! Baba turns around and starts spamming holy bolts at the
horror pack but quickly gets surrounded against the wall. Seeing how fast his mana globe is going
down, he immediatly abandons the idea to killing stuff and switch to phasing while 5 horrors are
swinging their axes at him. Phasing is good to get out of hot situations like that and after about 15
attempts, Baba finally gets a phasing spell off and disappears in an unknown room. That room
happens to be empty and it has a door. Baba quickly tells the team to get in the room while they still
could so we get to fight Leoric with a shotgun formation. Leo had a nice ambush for us, but the run
lives!

Phase, phase damnit !!


One id from a book case along with a book of heal other. Archers elite pack is in a very bad spot for
the warrior and rogue so Baba just ends up putting a firewall field in the room to kill them.
Hell Church 4
Two ids drops, iMoto gets a free level of dex from 2 shrines and a couple dex elixirs. We kite
Spineeater and Moonbender in a big hallway. We are flying through the church like true speed
runners, taking around one hour total. Carson gets some banana bread and we are good to go in
cats!

Hell Cats 5
This floor is so easy is feels like church, we are still more than a match for them. Foulwing and Wrath
Raven elite packs, stalkers and overlords all get toasted and bowed down easily. Nothing noteworthy
happens.

Hell Cats 6
At the start of the level, a couple infravision scrolls drop and we decide to replace one of our res
scroll for one of them. This may seem like a very small detail for now but that will actually kick us in
the ass later on. Never replace res for infravision, ever. So we have stone and fire clan archers on this
floor and need to use a lot of doors to deal with them. Pretty much an iMoto floor. One id drops
again. Carson hits a tainted goat shrine, poop.
Hell Cats 7
Mud man, stalkers and melee stone clans? Considering night clans archers will 2-3 shot our warrior,
we will take that anyday! iMoto gets cornered but stays alive with some clutch pots and heals.

Even packs of 5-6 stone clans can't touch Carson when he has iMoto's support for damage. No luck
on the goat shrines.
Hell Cats 8
Mud man elite pack ambush was dealt with easily with some firewalls. Magma deamons and acid
beasts are no match for our team and Carson starts to wonder if this is hell mode. Mobs are stone
cursed whenever Carson feels like going in live.. There is a purifying spring on the floor so we are
messing around a little bit and Baba ends up pking Carson with lightning when fighting the Magma
elite pack.

Hell Caves 9
Horned deamons and red storms. Not too bad so we start pretty confident by hunting around the
stairs. Carson is 2-3 shotting everything and pulling everything without fear! We even find a amazing
set which allows us to pull the last half of the floor vert fast. At this point everyone is wondering why
this is so easy for hell caves.. it can't last forever. Red storm elite pack is tougher than expected and
we finally feel that it's hell difficulty.

Baba has to spam two full globes of heals on carson while iMoto shoots them over the lava. Twntry
minutes floor 9, really?
Hell Caves 10
We spawn right in front of a fence with 3 spitters behind it shooting at us. As Carson moves around
to dodge the spits and whatnot 3 obsidian lords show up around the corner. We manage pretty well
except that iMoto broke her main bow in the battle. OH NO! At this point we don't feel its that much
of a deal because we have more bows to work with and her dex is so high that her damage will barely
suffer. Minutes later Carson gets rammed by an obsidian lord and gets 1 shotted, no big deal, it was
unlucky. Get the warrior back up and keep going on. Carson has to drink 5 pots when he gets
surrounded by 4 or 5 lords before Baba steps in and curse them all for the save. These things hit
hard!! Their elite pack are immune to every element so we door them for an easy kill. Carson dies
again to a charge not long after as he realises that he needs to stop moving to block the charges
otherwise he's done.
Plaguewrath fight was stressful because we couldn't shoot them down like we would have liked to.
Instead they were dancing right next to our warrior without really shooting him so iMoto could bow
them down. Baba runs into a room with 3 spitters thinking the floor was cleared and dies because he
didn't want to use multiple potions. Rip precious res scroll.
Hell Caves 11
Three Storm riders ambush, iMoto gets smacked in the face, one more res gone.

So this is basicly the worst possible floor 11 you can ever get. Storm riders and Lava lords! Carson
can't pull them very far because he takes so much damage from projectiles and constantly asks for
heals. Good thing he has so much dex otherwise he would get murdered by those fast attacking
enemies. Carson randomly pops to 3 lava lords when pulling the back to the set, damn, his low 169
HP is hurting whenever he can't block. Few minutes later we have a bad pull of about 3 lords and 3
storms, Carson dies instantly, Baba and iMoto have to string them all across the floor. Few potions
later they get back to Carson to res him. This floor is heavy on ressources but thanksfully we find a lot
of potions! One id drops too.
Hell Caves 12
We spawn in an giant lava river maze and there are pit beast. Why does level 12 always have to be
spitters and rivers !

We decide to go east around the river maze and that part goes pretty well. But eventually we have
no choice but to go in the maze and face the spitters. Carson has a lot of trouble bringing the dogs in
the set and they are stunning him on the way back and dies. iMoto gets a pk on Carson because our
sets are garbage. Our res count is going down fast since the last 2 floors. At this point Baba should
have been pulling the enemies but we didn't decide to do so. That was a mistake, 30 seconds later
Carson dies again and tells us he would have drank every single potion to survive. The dogs are just
eating him alive on his way back and it's costing a lot of ressources now when the first half of the
floor was pretty much free. This isn't how we should have handled the dogs, we shot ourselves in the
foot for 3 res scrolls right there but at least we are through the lava maze. iMoto starts scouting from
now on and things go better, noone dies from that point on floor 12.
Hell Hell 13
Infravision reveals lava maws around the corner, vipers and succubi. That's a very annoying mix as we
have been having a lot of trouble with the dogs latly. We have good kebabs setups against the
witches, vipers are easy but any combination of enemies that involves dogs is bad. Baba pulls a pretty
dumb move next, thinking he can solo with a staff of nova. He goes in a room and starts spamming
novas but enemies aren't exactly dying so he ends up pulling like 8 vipers and a succubus. We don't
have much room to work with so we pull back to the strairs and quickly get swarmed by vipers. We
kill a few before Carson falls. iMoto and Baba clear up a few more vipers before the rogue falls to the
last 2 vipers. Baba cleans up his mess and face palms hard as he ressurects his teamates. Res staff
down to 1/3 charges.

And that is not even all of them !


We id an amulet +21 vitality, poop. Kite shield drops from a corpse, we id and get kite shield of the
tiger, nice! Now he's up to 219 HP with his dex gear on so he can survive better. Won't matter when
he has 4 vipers beating on him, and dies almost instantly. iMoto and Baba have to curse and bow
down vipers one by one to get back to Carson. Couple rooms later, one bad step pulls 6 dogs and
Baba immediatly "RUN!" and before Carson can even move, he gets one shotted by the spits. Once
again, the kiting begins, every single dog is cursed and shot. More potions are used and one more res
charge. That floor was huge and messy but it's over.
Hell Hell 14
Snow witches and Vortex lords. Shouldn't be too bad as long as we play it well. A res scroll drops
from a chest right away, nice! Carson kills himself with the staff swap after a battle with a single
vortex lord, staff of res is now empty. At least we have enough space to kite the vortex lords for a
long time and the succubi have been all frozen so far. Single vortex are fought in the open, we use
sets for 2 and we run when there are 3 or more, good strategy. As long as Carson doesn't kill himself
too much with the staff we should be good. Damn, snow witches are dumb !! We killed 92 of them
and id say about 90 of them were frozen. Carson loses 1 to magic from a cauldron so now he has to
swap a ring to use the staff of healing... We have 5 ids left and 8 res.
Hell Hell 15
Hell spawns and Magistrates. Not good, these are smart and we have trouble blocking their shots
even with the staircase. We id a long battle bow from a chest, 19 str, not good but better than a
white bow iMoto has been using since she broke her bow in the caves. So we give all the life and
resist jewels to iMoto, she now has over 300 HP and max resist. Now the fearless rogue can start
hunting those packs of magistrates. There were over 40 of them in the first quadrant and their
charged bolt spam was real. The problem on this floor is the hell spawns. We absolutly need stone

curse everytime more than one is attacking a member of the team and when Carson pulls 3 of them,
he died very fast with nowhere to hide. Few pulls later Carson dies again to 4 witches, iMoto and
Baba have to recover. Down to 6 res. Same thing happens again near Laz's room, down to 5 res.
Bloodlust shows up with a succubus, which isn't a big deal with stone curse. She has 200/3300 HP
when stone curse runs out and she gets a kill on iMoto, damnit! Should have spend the extra 50
mana to curse again. Down to 4 res.
Both Vex and Jade came out at the same time and were stone cursed. Vex drops a long battle bow
which Carson picks up. We want to id that because iMoto needs a better bow for 16 but for some
reason it's not in Carson's inventory and nowhere on the floor. So the bow just disappeared
somewhere in the game's netcode ;( Bummer.
Warrior and rogue team up on Lazarus while Baba keeps him stone cursed and he drops an axe. Boo!
We get a glimmering with the cauldron but nothing really worthy was identifyed other than a
composite bow of presicion which was slightly better than iMoto's long battle bow of the giants.
Hell Hell 16
Here we are, last floor of the adventure. 4 Res left and around 24 pots. We are hacing constant
hourglass for some reason. We have been playing all day and now that we are on 16, internet
decides to act crazy to make things harder. We start between cage 3 and 4 with no walls. It's a
struggle to clear the way around cage 4 so we decide to take a break and wait for it to stabilize.
About an hour later, the lag seems better and we can keep going. Carson has to switch 4 piece of
armor depending on what we are facing, so he's getting a little confused sometimes but we can't
blame him, we have been playing for a long time. iMoto gets a pk on Carson after dealing with a
single knight, down to 3 res. We aren't seeing the enemies in the same spot so the desyncs are real
but we manage to clear around cage 3 and 4 decently well. About 12 advocates are blocking the link
between the two halves of the floor but Carson is dancing like a pro while iMoto bows them down.
Gorash almost one shots Carson so Baba just keeps him cursed while iMoto takes his 4200 HP down.

86-246 dmg with 250% to hit? Yeah, better keep him cursed
As usual, iMoto is doing great fighting the advocates and we feel pretty safe fighting those. Another
bad desync happens against a single blood knight as we decide to fight it in the open, the knight gets
on top of Carson so they are both standing on the same tile. When iMoto starts shooting, she hits
both Carson and the knight and kills Carson almost instantly. The knight is cursed and Carson
resurrected, down to 2 res.
Damnit, that desync death was really not necessary. Also all the stone curses are starting to get
expensive and Baba is down to his last 8 potions. Trying to save the precious mana, Baba lets 2 very
hurted knights beat a little too long on Carson and the warrior gets 2 shotted very fast. DAMNIT!
That was bad on Baba's part. Down to 1 res. Carson gets back up with all his gear on because we are
on floor 16 so when he swap to the staff, he dies again because of the HP gear he is taking off. Are
you fucking serious? That was the biggest face palm moment in the entire run and it had to be on 16
when we are down to our last res. Carson is just as pissed off as Baba at that point and you can feel
iMoto is starting to get nervous. We need to get it together, we can't die anymore and there are still
about 60% of the level to go through with very limited ressources. Everyone puts their game faces on
now and we clear all cages 1, 2 and 3 without any issues and minimal potion usage. The netcode
strikes again when iMoto asks for a repair on her composite bow and it dissapears! She only has her
lightning bow left and it's down to 23 durability. That should be enough for cage 4 and Diablo with
the warriors repairs. Baba casually parks Diablo in the maze and we move to cage 3 to get ready to
finish cage 4.
Now what happens next is just heart breaking. We have about half of the cage 4 cleared when iMoto
pulls 2 knights. One of them desyncs bad and changes iMoto's line of fire from the knight to.. Carson.
At this point iMoto was using the lightning bow and Carson just got instantly killed, he couldn't even
use a potion. We had just splitted the potions so Carson dies with a full belt of full rejus. Baba has 5
left, iMoto has 2. Even worst, iMoto's bow is about to break with no warrior to repair it! We look
around the entire floor hoping to see any kind of bow so we can finish cage 4 but no luck. So we start
killing whatever we can in cage 4 until her bow breaks hoping for a miracle res scroll. The bow
breaks, GG cage 4 because even if we have 7 juvs left, the advocates are triple immune and Baba
can't kill them. We have no choice but to leave these advocates alive and go for the Diablo kill. Did
we really need that infravision over the res scroll in the catacombs? Hmmm.....
iMoto put on the random sword and shield Baba was using until now and he gives her one of the
potions he was carrying. We setup around cage 2 entrance and Baba goes in to get Diablo. He aggros
on iMoto has expected and with all the dex she has, she should be able to survive about 10-15
seconds and hopefully survive the fight. Unfortunatly, Diablo knocks her back and that causes him to
move out of the stacked firewalls. iMoto tries to get back into position but Diablo gets none of that
and kills her with a melee attack. Baba vs Diablo duel begins, the wizard has half a mana globe and 3
pots left on the belt. Every hit from Diablo is over 200 mana of damage and all the firewalls going off
are draining the globe very fast. Baba stacks about 10 firewalls and starts unloading holy bolts. All
Baba is staring at is the blue globe. He makes sure to pot as low mana as possible. He drinks the first
pot very fast. Two hits later, drinks another. Diablo's HP is starting to go down very fast now. Last
potion, Baba drinks it and keeps spaming the bolts. Baba is now looking at his empty belt and his last
mana globe is going down fast. Diablo casts apoc, and then starts spilling blood from his chest.
THAT'S IT! HE'S DEAD!! \wizBaba/

GO BACK TO THE SHADOW!!


Carson and iMoto get their free resurrect for defeating the Dark Lord and the exhausted team is
finally allowed to go back to town to spread the news that Diablo has been defeated and Tristram is
free! What an adventure, we did it guys!

Thank you so much Carson and iMoto I will never forget this run. Carson you are true warrior for
putting up with our degenerated lifestyle and staying up for ridiculous amount of hours with us. You
did an amazing job, well played! iMoto you are the an exeptional gamer, your talent showed in your
rogue play the entire time and I'm really happy you came with us! We had a lot of fun together and
in the end, that's what matter! :D
