E- LEARNING SYSTEM
ABSTRACT
E-learning is another form of distance learning where education and training courses are delivered using
computer technology. Typically, this means that courses are delivered either via the Internet, or on
computer networks (linked computers). With the increased availability of PCs and Internet access, elearning is becoming more and more popular.
E-Learning is a web application using JSP.
This online application enables the end users to register online, select the subject, read the course and
appear for the exam online. The results of the exams are also declared just after taking the test. The
candidate should take tests in a particular sequence and also he can attempt the next test only if he has
completed the previous papers. The correct answers for the questions are displayed after the exam. The date
of the registration, date of exam, test results etc. are stored in the database.

Purpose of paper
E-learning (also called electronic learning) is any type of learning that takes place
through or with a computer. E-learning is primarily facilitated through the Internet but
can also be accomplished with CD-ROMs and DVDs, streaming audio or video and
other media. The purpose of e-learning is to allow people to learn for personal
accomplishment or to earn a professional degree, without physically attending a
traditional university or academic setting. E-learning can be applied for all levels of
schooling from grade school to graduate degrees, and is versatile enough to
accommodate all learning styles.

Implications
Effective eLearning comes from using information and communication technologies (ICT) to
broaden educational opportunity and help students develop the skills theyand their countries
need to thrive in the 21st century. While conclusive, longitudinal studies remain to be done, an
emerging body of evidence suggests that eLearning can deliver substantial positive effects:
Students are more engaged and able to develop 21st century skills.
Teachers have a more positive attitude toward their work and are able to provide more
personalized learning.
Family interaction and parental involvement may increase.

Communities benefit from bridging the digital divide. Economically disadvantaged students and
children with disabilities benefit particularly.
Economic progress can result from direct job creation in the technology industry as well as from
developing a better educated workforce. This paper summarizes some key research findings, to
help educational leaders identify relevant eLearning benefits and make judicious decisions as
they develop their eLearning strategies. To further aid in planning, we share findings relating to
the challenges of eLearning implementation, and provide a bibliography for additional reading.
Results
The results indicated that system quality, information quality, and computer self-efficacy all
affected system use, user satisfaction, and self-managed learning behavior of students.
