INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
Note: Kindly check your Centre before the exam, if you are not familiar with the Centre
location.
You should bring the following to the Test Centre:
Two hard copies of your Test Admit Card. Paste a recent passport size photograph and sign in the space
provided. One copy of your admit card with photo pasted must be submitted at the examination center. If you
have not scanned the recent photograph in your application form, please carry one with you.
Two Blue or Black ball point pen
Your original ID proof, e.g. Driving License, PAN ID, Passport etc.

Following items are NOT ALLOWED inside the Test Centre:

Calculators, electronic diaries, cell phones, beepers or any similar electronic equipment, cameras and any extra pieces
of paper are not allowed inside the Test Centre.

Instructions for the Test:

1. The XAT is of three hours between 10:30am (IST) and 1:35pm (IST) the first part is of 2 hours and 20 minutes

and the second part is of 40 minutes of GK and Essay with a break of five minutes between the two parts.
You should be in your assigned Test Centre by 9:30am (IST) (at least 60 minutes prior to the scheduled time for
the test).
You should occupy the seat on which your CRN (Centre Registration Number) is mentioned.
Handle the OMR answer sheet very carefully. Do not fold or leave any smudges.
Do not give/obtain any help during the test.
You must stop writing the first Part at 12:50pm (IST) and the second part at 1:35pm (IST).
Candidates found violating the instructions of the test invigilator will be disqualified.
All rough work should be done only on the margins of the test booklet.
Do not leave your seat before the Invigilator personally collects the answer sheet/essay sheet from you at the
end of the Test and instructs you to leave the Test Hall.

IF YOUR ADMIT CARD DOES NOT HAVE YOUR PHOTOGRAPH AND SIGNATURE PRINTED GET A
PROVISIONAL ADMIT CARD FROM YOUR RESPECTIVE CENTRE. Please go to your respective XAT Centre on
Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11:00 am along with a printout of the Admit Card, proof of payment for XAT2015, copy of
the XAT Confirmation Page, two passport size photographs, and a photo identity proof along with two photocopies of the
same.
