1. Go to http://d-h.

st/0HR and download this archive :

Extract the contents, select UnparkCPU.exe and Run as Admin :
> click on Check Status and wait till it finishes
> click on Unpark All and wait till it finishes
(this app unlocks all the CPU cores so the Tera Online Client will use the CPU p
roperly)

2. Go to TERA install folder > /TERA/Client/S1Game/Config :

> select all files from "S1Editor" to "S1UI" and delete them
> launch TERA Online, log in and click Play, wait for the game to launch, it tak
es a while because the client will
rebuild all those config files you deleted earlier and set them to the correct v
alues automatically.
Once in game don`t click Play yet, instead go to Options and set the following s
ettings as specified below :
UISettings > UI Customization > check Display Performance (FPS)
Video > Resolution Settings > check FullScreen
Display > check Auto adjust effect levels
> Effects Level > 3
> Lurid Display > 1
Graphics Quality :
Presets > 4
Texture Quality :
Adjust Texture Resolution > 1
Character Quality :
PC View Distance > 4
PC Limit > Up to 50
Character > 3
Shadow > 0
Background Quality :
Distant Environment Level > 3
Landscape > 2

Aerial > 1
Effects :
Effect Distance > 3
Background Quality > 1
Background Distance > 3
check Travel Effects
Other :
Lighting Enrichment > 1
Real Time Optimization > 0
click Apply and OK
Quit Game.

(these settings do not in any way make your game experience worse as far as grap
hic quality goes, most of the settings don`t really
change much with them set on higher levels or at lower levels except lowering so
me of your FPS if set on higher levels)
Personally i find these settings to be in perfect balance performance/quality wi
se.
Download my modified S1Engine.ini from here > http://d-h.st/1Xj
Open it, select all text and copy it > go to TERA/Client/S1Game/Config >
Open S1Engine.ini, select all text and paste the text from the modified ini file
you copied earlier.Save and make S1Engine read-only!
Then go to : http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help
/settings_manager03.html and make the limit to 10MB, then go to the next tab, to
Global Security Settings, Edit Locations, Add Location, browse for folder, go t
o TERA install folder and browse for TERA/Client/Binaries/TERA.exe, Open and Con
firm.

(The UI is controlled by Flash and it may fix some issues)

For nVIDIA users : 310.90 driver is just fine.
For AMD users : make sure you have the latest driver installed.

NOTE : If it`s stuck on integrated graphics do this :
Download nVIDIA Inspector from here > http://d-h.st/JwJ
Extract contents to a new folder > run nVIDIAInspector as admin, at the end of t
he row where "Driver Version" is, you have a button, click it.
You will see Profiles in the upper part of the screen, search for Tera and selec

[YOU MAY NEED TO REINSTALL THE DRIVER AND TRY THE WHOLE THING WITH NVIDIA INSPEC

P.S. If you encounter problems such as screen freezes or any video glitches, all
you need to do is, delete the config files mentioned in the guide, log in into
the
game, do the video settings mentioned in the guide again, exit the game, overwri
te text from the modified S1Engine file into original file from the client.Done!
>or you can just try the game without the modified S1Engine config file if you t
hink it`s not going so well with it<
