FOUR DAYS

MILAN
Milan, the capital of Lombardy and the second largest city and
financial heart of Italy, is renowned for its high fashion and design
as well as for culture, cuisine and sports. For centuries, Milan has
captured the interest of the world by its dynamism, creativity and
innovation. The energy reflects the love of life its inhabitants have
always offered to Europe and the world at large. While sauntering
through the streets of Milan, visiting its museums and basilicas
(Duomo and La Scala at first), or doing a spot of shopping, you will
find yourself drawn into the special atmosphere of the city,
sharing in its positivity and drive. Milan loves nothing better
than a challenge and the EPH Conference will be no exception.

MILAN INTERNATIONAL EXPO 2015

The 8th EPH Conference coincides with the Milan International
EXPO 2015, the largest exposition in the world (open 1 May to
31 October 2015). The theme Feeding the planet, energy for life
is closely related to public health, and attending Milan 2015 is a
great opportunity to visit this important exhibition as well.
TRAVELLING
With three international airports (Malpensa Airport, Linate Airport
and Bergamo Orio Al Serio), Milan is connected with more than
100 European cities. Also, Milan is comfortably accessible by train
from many European cities. Over 10000 hotel rooms, 1000
restaurants and good public transport await you.

8th European Public Health Conference

14 17 October 2015
Milan, Italy
The theme for the 8th EPH Conference is
Health in Europe - from global to local

This theme was chosen to encourage
discussion on what the role of Europe is

global health issues is on European,
national, regional and local level.
In times of interdependence and
interconnectedness at global level, a new
vision of cooperative and democratic
action at all levels of society is much
needed. Through the plenary sessions,
this new vision is further elaborated.
