Problem Solution Essay

Deforestation has been increasing over the last years in Argentina due to
agriculture expansion, lack of harsh policies from the government and the
society absence faced to this . As a result of this, it is crucial to provide solutions
for this major threat to the biodiversity, the whole society and our planet.
One way would be to encourage agricultural companies and wood industries to
find alternatives instead of cutting the forest trees. A good option is to reduce
the taxes for those companies placed in available agricultural land, and for
those using ecological alternatives as recycling consumers wood instead of
using wood from forest trees. In that way, companies will reduce their impact
on deforestation.
Another solution would be to implement harder policies regarding the protection
of forests by law. The governmet should constantly stop and prevent illegal
wood products and the deforestation of protected areas as Yungas and Chaco
rainforests. By controlling and aplying a zero deforestation policy, there could be
a possibility of changing the poor prognosis.
Concerning peoples involvement, a massive tree cover campaign could be
wonderful for having everyone getting involved in such an important task by
planting young trees in the affected areas .Furthermore, campaigns
encouraging consumers to take part in the solution by recycling and teaching
their children about the importance of sustainable options could make a big
difference in societys role about this problem.
All things considered, there still are many solutions to the problem of
deforestation. It depends on how people react and take part in it. The sooner we
put into action these solutions, the more effective the results will be for the
environment.
