Authoritarian regime

We cant say that a certain political regime is the best. Only that it is bestsuitable for a particular country. It depends from a state to another. For developed
states, the democracy would be best-suited, but referring to Romania, I believe that
a dictatorship or an authoritarian regime would be best-suited. If we analyze the
internal political situation after 1989, its visible that democracy has created a
perfect environment for corruption to rise. Many people took advantages and got
wealthier by fraud. The standard of living is way too low for an European country.
For example, during the communism, in Romania there was no corruption. The only
solution in the current situation is an authoritarian regime in which the state should
take more control in order to distribute everything equally.
In a communist political regime, the first economical step is the
nationalization of any capital goods, industries or companies. Fact exemplified in
Eastern Europe after 1945, when the Soviet Russia won the World War II and the
communism imposed in states like Hungary, Bulgaria, Poland, German Democratic
Republic or Romania. In Romania the industry and the agriculture were the principal
branches of the centralized economy, the five-year-plans being realized. The
collectivization of the agriculture is another fact specific to the communism. This
process consisted in seizing any agrarian private property and setting-up agrarian
farms operated by the state. Another important aspect is the intensively
mechanization of the agriculture by introducing the machineries in agriculture. By
this the performance and the efficiency are much higher. The industry is also
developed in order to produce for export and expecting high incomes for the state.
For example this kind of economy helped Romania to pay its war debts and the
loans to the Western countries.
In communisms theory all the goods belong to the society and all of its
members benefit of the same social and economical statute. In the inter-war period
begun a amply campaign of emancipation and encouragement of the women. This
consisted in placing them in office functions and even factories, equalizing their role
in society with the mans. The most famous principle of a ideal communist society is
: From each according to his ability, to each according to his need. They also aimed
to improve the medical services in order to reduce the infant mortality and to
accrue the life hope. For Romania, the centralization around a unique party brought
benefits. New workplaces were created, and more inhabitancy also. The standard of
living was much higher than it is nowadays.
Having said that, the communism would be well-suited for Romania because
of its economy regarding the industrialization and collectivization, of the equality

of the social classes. According to a poll from 2012, more than a half of the
Romanian citizens are willing to return to the communism because of the
workplaces, of the approximate equality and of the industrial potential that our
country was capable of.
