Good morning, everyone!
Today we will start a new lesson.

game which I know most of you are
very familiar ofJigsaw Puzzle.
There will be two sets of puzzle. You
have to form these puzzles on the
board within 2 minutes and be able
to identify what images were formed.
The flags that you have here on the
board are the national flags of the
two Korean states that we know
which are North Korea and South
Korea. But for the purpose of
singularity, we shall address these
two as simply Korea. This Asian
neighbor has been very familiar with
us, Filipinos. This is because of their

B. During Reading
Please read silently the Tale of
Chunhyang. I will give you 30
minutes to read and we will discuss
afterwards.
2. Reflection
Write a short pledge of faithfulness or
a promise to someone or something:
your family, friend, studies, God, or
even to your lifes dream and
ambition. Just choose one. Be truthful
and honest in what you will write. Do
this for 2 minutes. Afterwards, fold
your papers and put them inside this

-They link sentences and paragraphs
together smoothly so that there are
no abrupt jumps or breaks between
ideas.
Because as we know there are many
types of cohesive devices, I want you
to identify under what type are the
transition words which I gave each of
you.

Using Transition Words and Phrases:
-Put a comma after these if they are
at the beginning of a sentence.
example: I like to travel. Specifically,
I enjoy places with old cathedrals.
-Use a semicolon to connect the two
sentences.
example: I like to travel; specifically, I
enjoy places with old cathedrals.
-Use a comma before and after the
transitional
word/phrase
in
the
middle of a clause.
example: I like to travel, and,
specifically, I enjoy places with old
cathedrals.
IV. EVALUATION
Go back to the Tale of Chunhyang and list down 5-10 cohesive devices
used in the story. Also, be able to identify what type of transition words are
they. You can make a chart so that it will be easier for you. Choose 5 words
and use them appropriately in your own sentences. Do this in a 1/2 sheet of
paper for 10 minutes
V. ASSIGNMENT
Interview couples (or your parents) about their views on how
commitment and faithfulness help build a lasting relationship. Make sure that
these people have been together for quite a long time already (5 years
onwards). You can have your documentation of the interview such as
pictures, audio recordings or video. Write a short reflection in a short bond
paper about your interview experience and learning.
