In source one, the picture shows the graveyards in the cemetery and in
the middle it says Holocaust, it was surrounded by countries that experienced it
like Rwanda, Darfur, Cambodia, Armenia, Bosnia, Ukraine ,and Nanking. It also
shows the phrase Never Again under the names of the countries, which means
that these countries never want to experience that kind of tragedy that happened
before. These countries suffered a lot from what happen because Holocaust is
the act of killing people depending on their race, belief, religion. The role of the
government here is to act and help these countries to recover from all the pain
that they had experience. They should also give awareness to other countries of
what happened in these countries tragic histories. Like Hitler, he is a Nazi and he
managed to rule the Germany and he make his men kill all the Jews because he
wants his nation to become ultranationalist nation meaning to become loyal to
one nation and being immoral to other nation regardless of religion, race, and
belief.

A quote from Romeo Dallaire is shown in Source two saying that some
governments regard the use of force itself as the greatest evil. Others define
good as the pursuit of human rights will opt to employ force when human rights

are violated. As the year 2000 approached, each conflict we were faced with
leads to the question: should care or identify with the victims before wed get
involved. What this quote tells in this source is that some government use force
on wrong purposes against non-sense rallies for example and not using them for
civil war like on what happened on the Genocide in Rwanda during 1994. The
government role here is that they should start to act if some of the civilians are
starting to get hurt because what the government is doing here is that they are
waiting for something to happen before they act and they are identifying the
cause of the problems before they act.

In source three, the picture shows a mountain pile of dead corpses and on
the side of that pile it says Sudan Genocide. It also has a man bringing a bag that
has UN written on it and he told the dead corpses to call us back when you have
some Europeans. What this source tells us is that the United Nations will only
send help if they have troops that are on duty in Sudan. The United Nation is
being sarcastic here because the people are dying and they will only send help if
they need them but the actual thing is that people are dying and then there are
no helps coming from the UN. If the UN doesnt work out with the problem why
dont the government of Sudan call help from the other countries and help to
keep the safety of the innocent civilians in the country.

I agree that ultra-nationalism can lead to genocide because being loyal to

ones nation and being immoral to others is not a good thing. We can be loyal to
one nation but we dont need to be immoral to others. We can benefit from each
other by helping each other. It can lead to genocide because some ultranationalist countries take down those who are not like them for example in the
movie Shake Hands with the Devil the Hutus, larger population than the Tutsis
and the Tutsis killing all the Hutus because the European government give the
Tutsis power to rule over the Hutus so the Hutus will not take over them. The
Tutsis want to make their own nation state meaning they want to have selfdetermination and they want to make their own country and have freedom of
doing what they want.
I disagree with the source three because why would the guy with the UN
written on his bag tell the corpses to call back for their help when they are dead.
This shows that the UNs help is not useful because they have to wait for their
call and lots of people are dying and still they dont send any help to solve the
problem and the tragedy happening in Sudan. Why dont the UN help the Sudan
already and ceasefire if necessary, why do they need to wait a call from them if
the people in Sudan are dying. The government should start acting upon this
problem and help Sudan if they want to make this country a peace keeping
country.
