Infection risk safety:

The STERISHRED 50 has many safety features:
A sterilization with hot steam is made every time the lid is opened.
The gaseous discharges are filtered with a 0,2 microbiological filtering
system, going through a condenser and treated by bubbling.
The shredder and its parts are sterilized with saturated steam every
cycle.
A seperate tank contains the liquids and after a second treatment the
liquids are drained into a wastewater-pipe.

Microbiological inactivation:
Reduction of 6log10 with a plateau phase of 136C (277 F) for 20 mins and
2500 mbar (approx. 37 psi) pressure.
