PROTECTION REMOTELY IN A SECOND SUREEDGE APPLIANCE OR TO THE CLOUD
By electronically vaulting the data, the SUREedge appliance also provides a
complete disaster recovery solution for business continuity. All the necessary
information and data exists in the remote site either on a SUREedge appliance or
in the public or private cloud.
SUREedge can flexibly match your environment and does not impose restrictions
for its use. You can deploy with multiple kinds of remote locations, including
private and public clouds and remote data centers. By matching the remote site to
your specific needs, Sureline enables the deployment of an optimal solution for
their specific disaster recovery plan.
SOPHISTICATED REMOTE DISASTER RECOVERY AND FAILBACK
When a disaster has been declared and recovery is initiated, the protected servers
can be restored into one or multiple VM images executing on the SUREedge
appliance or on provisioned compute resources in the cloud. For critical servers,
the images can be pre-staged on a remote SUREedge appliance or in the cloud for
quick restart. The remote SUREedge solution now provides data protection.
When access to the primary site is restored, then primary SUREedge appliance
receives the data from the remote site until it is time to failback to the primary
site. Similarly, the SUREedge appliance provides an excellent tool to test your
Disaster Recovery plans and processes without impacting the production
environment.

EASILY MANAGE YOUR LOCAL DATA AND SERVER

RECOVERY
Like most local backup and recovery solutions, the
SUREedge appliance can quickly and efficiently backup
the most important data in your IT infrastructure both
physical as well as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V virtual
environments. Comprehensive application support
provides the quickest recovery through intelligent
metadata management.
All restore requests are serviced locally within the data
center from your on-premise SUREedge appliance. A
redundant unit can be optionally deployed on-site to
provide enterprise-class level of failure protection.
In the event of a server failure, the most current instance
of that servers backup can be restored and executed on
the SUREedge appliance for local server recovery
purposes.
QUICKLY AND EFFICIENTLY DELIVER AND MANAGE YOUR
DATA
Multiple backup paths can be specified so the data is
stored on the local SUREedge appliance and an off-site
copy is sent a remote SUREedge appliance or to a public
or private cloud.
Data sent remotely is de-duped and compressed and can
be optionally encrypted.
When the backup data is past its local retention cycle and
no longer available locally, it can remain electronically
vaulted in the cloud based on a different retention cycle.
