    • He was born in Augusta, Georgia.
    • Graduated from high school in Sumter, SC.
    • Went to South Carolina University for three
    semesters before moving to NYC.
    • Moved to NYC and started work in a book shop.
    • He got his first art solo at the Leo Castelli Gallery.
    • The Museum of Modern art bought three of his
    paintings. Which made him popular.
