needs. Motivation can also be defined as one's direction to

Its origin, educare, means to lead out. Education occurs when,
knowledge, skills and habits are formed, through teaching,
training and research, usually transferred from one person or
generation to another.

The purpose of education is two-fold: (1) utilityto make people

useful and to be able to contribute to the wellbeing of society;
and (2) characterto instill lasting values in people. Lasting
values include putting God first, integrity (honesty, fairness to
self and others), hard work, sharing the good things of life

We are sensitive beings. Nobody likes criticism and
when we are criticized, either directly or indirectly,

we feel bad about ourself even if the criticism is

not justified. To maintain a sense of self respect, we
need to learn how to deal with criticism. Dont take
criticism personally. Look at it from a detached
perspective. Maybe it is false, in which case we
should ignore it. If their is some truth, we can use it
to develop our character. However, it is important
not to take criticism too personally. Just because we
are not very good at a particular task, doesnt
mean we need to lose our self respect.

lives: our lives go better when we are loved and when we love
others. Yet the role that love plays is not simply that of an
optional accessory or adornment it is nice to have, like icing on a
cake. Love is more fundamental than that and seems to speak to
our very humanity: without love, or at least the potential for
love, we would be somehow less than human.
We will never know how to love unless we know how to hear
