I have this rare issue w ith my storage usb


4gb, I used it very frecuenly in Internet caffes,
i do regular stuff dow nload music, music, etc,
one day i w ent there and i insert my USB flash
drive to the computer and some of the files
w ere not there and my first reaction that w as

no virus w ere found on it, and
w hen i click on properties all the files w ere

Accessories>Command Prompt (Run this w ith
Admin rights)
2. type attrib *.* X: -r -s -h /s /d (w here X: is
the drive, this is your flash drive letter)
3. you can invoke other commands by typing
attrib /?

files then unchecked the hide protected
operating system files>click apply and ok. the

make any mistake copy the upper line.
Note that H should be replaced by the name of
the driver of flash memory you w ant to
recover.

Thank you so so so so so much!! I tried them


all but this is the only one that w orked for me.
It w as urgent because I needed to print a pic
for my class but then It got a virus. >.< Damn.
It alw ays gets a virus w hen I use it at school.

Do the follow ing


1. Got to Run and open Cmd
2. Type this command: attrib -h -r -s /s /d
H:\*.* ( P.s that the H: is the drive name, do
change it your existing drive)
3. Press enter and it's done!

above commands are w orking for me.
I have a stick drive 3.0 16Gb, operating on a
W indow s 8.
I tried both run and run as admin and nothing.
W hen I insert the drive it tells me to format
it...

If number 2 does not w ork, please try this:


ATTRIB -R -S -H X:/*.* /S /D (w here X: is the
drive letter of your flash drive)

Hello everyone, I recently developed a


problem w ith my USB stick. I w as using it on
one of my school computers and it w as fine, i
then sw itched lessons and used it again on
another computer and it show ed no files at all!
i came home and tried some recovery softw are
but that didn't w ork. so now i have tried this
and it has show ed some files now but they
are all .CHK files. My computer is still show ing
space being taken up in the USB.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
