She attends the Karoi Christian Fellowship Church whenever she is able.

September 1979
1919,
AT THE BREAKFAST TABLE seems to be the only time that our family is able to have
daily devotions. One morning after reading from the Bible about the beautiful things
that God has made, Billy spoke up and said, "I know of something beautiful that God
has mademy little brother David."' The two get along very well and when Billy is in
the rooin, David will not listen nor look at anyone else. At 4 months, David weighs
about 14 pounds and is 26h" long. He's been sleeping through the night since two
months. Folks call him "Smiley" because he is so happy and sweet. Billy has grown

building.
This addition has become necessary because of the Bible School that Carolyn
teaches on the open porch or in the yard, while the preaching services are going on.
All of the younger children go out to her and are taught on their level. Ena DaSilva
is now assisting Carolyn with this project. On one Sunday there were 20 children of
all ages.
With the coming of the rainy season, i t will be important to at least have
a
roof overhead.
The men here have faith in their Lord and in the future of this new
country of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia.
WE PLANNED FOR A RECORD ATTENDANCE on the first Sunday of July, but when people
found out that Ivan Martin, fellow missionary from Sinoia was to be here the Sunday
before that, 49 came to hear his sermon from the Word and in song.
On July 1st when
Dale Marshall, the man who started this congregation, was to be here, the people began
to arrive early. Every chair was filled, some of the children were on the floor at
the back with 69 people here. When we first came to Karoi the attendance had dropped
because of terrorist activity to a low of 9, now we average over 30 every Sunday.
For this we give PRAISE TO THE LORD.
AFTER STRUGGLING WITH A FULL COMMITMENT to Christ for'the past 4 years,. Ena
DaSilva decided to obey this command of Jesus' as well as the others He taught.
She
had been christened as a baby and confirmed as a teenager but now as an adult, she
gave her llfe-to Christ in the way the -Scriptures command. Her husband, Mendo, is
considering the same thing, so please pray for him as he considers this most important
step. Working with Internam Affairs, Mendo commands the auxiliary forces in this area.
