What is InRoads V8i and who uses it?


Inroads is a feature based DTM/COGO based civil
engineering design software used by GDOT and other
agencies. It can be used inside Microstation and
Autocad.

What can InRoads V8i do for you?


Import survey data for use as project design
Design horizontal and vertical alignments within design
range of the AASHTO guidelines.
Establish construction limits for use in setting Right-ofWay and easements
Cross sections and surfaces for earthwork
Create a realistic model

Stored in the XIN and accessed through the Named


Symbology Manager.
A named symbology is a set that defines the
symbology (level, color, line style and weight) for a
particular item for the:
Default
Plan
Profile
Cross section
Each one of these having a symbology for line, text
and point.
